2026 Toyota bZ Woodland Premium: Specs, Features & Pricing

The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland Premium is a five-seat electric SUV with standard dual-motor AWD and additional cabin comforts above the regular Woodland specification. Range, charging requirements and utility equipment are the important considerations here. The 2026 model should also be kept separate from newer 2027 specifications appearing on Toyota’s retail site.

The video below shows the Automotive Car Reviews walkaround. The article uses independent manufacturer research and keeps 2026 specifications separate from the newer 2027 model now appearing on Toyota’s retail website.

Canada’s 2026 choices are bZ Woodland AWD and bZ Woodland Premium AWD. All-terrain tires are an option on Premium. Both use the same electric powertrain, so Premium chiefly buys additional cabin equipment rather than a higher horsepower rating.

Premium adds ventilated front seats, a radiant front foot-and-leg heater, driver-seat and mirror memory, reverse-tilt mirrors, a digital rearview mirror with HomeLink, a fixed panoramic glass roof with power sunshade and nine-speaker JBL audio.

Two electric motors provide 375 horsepower combined and AWD. The lithium-ion battery has a stated total capacity of 74.7 kWh. Total battery capacity is not necessarily the same as usable capacity, so dividing it by advertised range would not establish an official efficiency rating.

X-MODE and Grip Control are included. They are control-system features, rather than evidence of a measured off-road capability from this walkaround. With no gasoline engine, the Woodland needs external charging as part of normal ownership.

Range and energy use

Toyota’s 2026 product information gives an estimated range of 452 km for the regular tires and 418 km with optional all-terrain tires. The early announcement quoted 418 km more generally; the later documents distinguish the tire configurations. Confirm which tires are fitted to the reviewed or purchased vehicle.

Range is a comparison figure, not a guaranteed distance between charging stops. Toyota’s Canadian 2026 product summary lists combined energy consumption at 17.9 kWh/100 km. Winter temperatures, cabin heat, speed, payload and towing affect energy use and available distance. Allow reserve charge when planning trips; this manufacturer reference is not consumption measured in the walkaround.

bZ Woodland Premium charging

The NACS port supports AC and DC charging. Toyota’s current Canadian 2026 product summary lists an 11-kW onboard AC charger, DC input up to 150 kW, about seven hours from 10% to 100% on suitable Level 2 equipment, and eight hours from 0% to 100%. Its DC estimate is 28 minutes from 10% to 80%; the launch release rounded this to around 30 minutes under ideal conditions. Peak charging power is not sustained throughout a session.

A dual-voltage 120V/240V charging cable is included. The available household supply, outlet and charging equipment determine what power can actually be delivered. Before buying, check home installation costs and the charging locations you expect to use regularly.

Battery preconditioning can be activated manually, or automatically by navigating to a fast charger with the required active Drive Connect service. Plug & Charge likewise has service and network requirements. Confirm compatibility with the particular charging network; a connector shape alone does not guarantee access to every station.

Safety and assistance features

Standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 includes pre-collision assistance with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Automatic High Beams, Road Sign Assist and Proactive Driving Assist.

Both grades include Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Safe Exit Alert, front and rear parking assistance with automatic braking, and Panoramic View Monitor with Multi-Terrain Monitor. Toyota lists eight airbags. These systems have operating limits; this equipment list is not a crash-test rating.

bZ Woodland Premium interior and cargo

Premium seats five in two rows. SofTex upholstery, heated front and outboard rear seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and power front seats form the basic comfort package, with Premium’s additional ventilation and radiant heating described above.

Toyota Canada’s 2026 product summary lists Premium cargo capacity at 942 litres behind the rear seats and 2,033 litres with them folded. The base model’s corresponding figures are 957 and 2,104 litres. These are the current Canadian summary figures; the launch release’s larger maximum should not be substituted for Premium’s specification. Cargo volume does not establish payload capacity; consult the actual vehicle’s load label.

The rear seat splits 60/40 and reclines. Roof rails and a foot-activated power liftgate add loading options. Measure actual luggage and check child-seat installation before choosing this two-row SUV over a larger three-row vehicle.

Infotainment and connected services

Premium includes a 14-inch touchscreen and nine-speaker JBL system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a seven-inch driver information display, two wireless phone chargers and four USB-C charging ports.

Toyota lists three-year Remote Connect and Drive Connect trials and five-year minimum Safety Connect and Service Connect trials in its 2026 documentation. Continued access can require subscriptions and compatible cellular coverage. Price those services separately from the vehicle if you expect to rely on them long term.

Towing and exterior dimensions

Toyota advertises towing of up to 1,588 kg (3,500 lb) when appropriately equipped. Verify the hitch equipment, trailer-brake requirements and vehicle loading instructions before selecting a trailer. Towing also changes charging-trip planning, so do not assume the advertised unloaded range applies with a trailer attached.

The Woodland is 4,830 mm long and has 215 mm of ground clearance. Its black wheel-arch trim, ladder-style roof rails and 18-inch wheels give it a distinct appearance. Optional all-terrain tires bring the range trade-off noted above; select them based on your actual needs and replacement costs.

2026 bZ Woodland Premium Canadian pricing

As of October 31, 2026, an exact current Canadian price for the 2026 bZ Woodland Premium has not been verified from Toyota Canada’s consumer website or configurator. The current model overview now presents the 2027 model, so its pricing must not be substituted for this 2026 vehicle. No launch-release amount or package-price difference is quoted here.

When comparing current quotes, itemize freight/PDI, air-conditioning charges, dealer and other fees, taxes, licence, insurance and registration. Do not apply 2027 pricing to this 2026 review or assume an incentive is available without checking its current conditions.

Competition and buying considerations

Electric SUVs to compare include the Subaru Trailseeker, Hyundai IONIQ 5, Kia EV6, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Tesla Model Y. Treat this as a research shortlist: exact AWD versions, equipment, cargo measurements, charging access and transaction prices need to be matched before drawing a value conclusion.

Premium makes the most sense when you want its ventilated seats, glass roof, digital mirror and upgraded audio. The base Woodland retains the same stated horsepower and most utility equipment, while offering slightly more cargo volume. Include home charging, electricity prices, insurance and tire costs in your comparison.

Frequently asked questions

Why are two range figures listed for the 2026 bZ Woodland?

Toyota distinguishes tire configurations: estimated range is 452 km with regular tires and 418 km with optional all-terrain tires. Confirm the tires fitted to the actual vehicle and allow for weather, load and charging reserves.

What charging connector does the bZ Woodland use?

It has a NACS port, an 11-kW onboard AC charger and DC input up to 150 kW. Toyota’s current Canadian 2026 summary estimates 28 minutes from 10% to 80% on DC, while its launch release says around 30 minutes under ideal conditions. Peak power is not sustained throughout the session.

Can the bZ Woodland tow a trailer?

Toyota advertises up to 3,500 lb when appropriately equipped. Confirm the required hitch and vehicle loading limits. Towing also reduces available range, so the unloaded range estimate should not be used to plan trailer trips.
