The 2026 Ford F-350 Platinum combines a heavy-duty pickup platform with leather seating, substantial cabin technology and built-in trailer assistance. Buyers can choose gasoline or diesel power and single or dual rear wheels. Those choices affect both the purchase price and the capability, so the Platinum badge alone does not tell the whole story.

Models and body configurations
The Super Duty range includes F-250, F-350 and F-450 pickups, with XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trim levels. The F-350 Platinum uses a Crew Cab with four full-size doors. Ford’s Canadian builder lists a 6.75-foot box with single rear wheels, an eight-foot box with single rear wheels, and an eight-foot box with dual rear wheels.
The Platinum cabin has two front captain’s chairs and a three-person rear bench, making it a five-seat truck. The wider Super Duty range’s six-seat maximum refers to other front-seat layouts. Single rear wheel and dual rear wheel trucks also have different tire, axle and capability specifications.
Gasoline and diesel engines

The standard engine is a naturally aspirated 7.3-litre gasoline V8 producing 430 horsepower and 485 lb-ft of torque. The optional 6.7-litre Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 produces 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft. A separate High Output 6.7-litre diesel raises those figures to 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft.
All three use a TorqShift ten-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is included in the checked Platinum configuration. The base gasoline single-rear-wheel build uses a 3.73 electronic-locking rear axle; other axle choices are tied to the engine and body configuration. A diesel engine is an optional upgrade, rather than a requirement for Platinum.
Towing and payload

There is no single towing rating that applies to every 2026 Ford F-350 Platinum. Ford’s 2026 towing guide separates conventional trailers from fifth-wheel and gooseneck trailers, then lists ratings by engine, axle, cab, wheelbase and rear-wheel configuration. Trim equipment and the available payload must also be accounted for.
For context, the guide lists 19,500 lb (8,845 kg) of conventional towing for properly equipped 7.3-litre, 4.30-axle F-350 single-rear-wheel configurations. That is a selected towing-table reference, not the rating of the standard 3.73-axle Platinum or the vehicle in the video. Diesel and dual-rear-wheel configurations use different tables. The Super Duty lineup’s 40,000-lb headline maximum belongs to a specially equipped F-450, so it should not be assigned to this F-350.
The Platinum includes an integrated trailer brake controller, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, Pro Trailer Backup Assist and a 360-degree camera. Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch are also included in the Canadian builder. A fifth-wheel/gooseneck hitch preparation package is optional at C$1,525 in the checked build. Hitch preparation is not the same as an installed fifth-wheel hitch.
Check the individual truck’s payload label and certification label before planning a loaded trailer or camper. Occupants, options, tools, bed cargo and trailer pin or tongue weight all use the truck’s carrying allowance. The broad lineup’s maximum payload should not be quoted as a Platinum Crew Cab rating.
Exterior and bed equipment
Standard Platinum features include power-deployable running boards, a power tailgate with a retractable step, heated PowerScope trailer mirrors and LED lighting. The checked single-rear-wheel configuration has 20-inch bright-machined wheels with low-gloss black-painted accents and LT275/65R20 all-terrain tires. Dual-rear-wheel models use different wheels and tires; the SRW wheel specification does not apply to a dually.
The longer eight-foot bed is useful for larger loads and changes the truck’s wheelbase. Ford offers optional off-road and work packages, but those additions can change axle ratios, wheels or other equipment. They also need to be considered when looking up towing and payload ratings.
Interior, comfort and storage

The standard cabin uses Black Onyx/Platinum Blue leather seating surfaces with a front centre console. Ford lists eight-way power front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, driver memory and multicontour massage. The rear bench includes heating and a split flip-up/fold-down arrangement with partitioned lockable under-seat storage.
Dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated power-adjustable steering wheel with memory, power-adjustable pedals with memory, remote start and rain-sensing wipers are included. Diesel versions have a supplemental cabin heater. These features support the Platinum’s premium positioning without changing its heavy-duty truck dimensions.
A twin-panel moonroof is optional. Max Recline seats are also optional and listed at C$500 in the checked builder. The separate Platinum Plus package offers Smoked Truffle premium leather and other upgrades; it should not be confused with the standard Platinum interior. The included 400-watt power system is distinct from the optional 2.0-kW Pro Power Onboard system.

Infotainment and connected technology

SYNC 4 uses a 12-inch centre touchscreen, supported by a 12-inch instrument display. The B&O Unleashed audio system has 14 speakers including a subwoofer. Compatible phones can use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while connected navigation provides an integrated route-planning option.
The Canadian equipment list includes one year of connected navigation and the builder includes one year of Ford Connectivity Package service. SiriusXM with 360L has a three-month trial. Continued connected features can require a subscription after the included period, so their operating costs should be considered separately from the truck’s purchase price.
Safety and driver assistance
Platinum equipment includes pre-collision assistance with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and trailer coverage, lane-departure/lane-keeping alerts, automatic high beams and rear parking sensors. The 360-degree camera adds views around the truck and the rearview camera supports reversing.
Front side airbags, curtain airbags and post-crash alerts are also listed. Camera coverage and assistance functions depend on their operating conditions and the connected trailer’s setup. These systems help with awareness and trailer positioning; the driver remains responsible for observing the surroundings and the truck’s weight limits.
Fuel economy
The F-350 does not have a published NRCan city/highway/combined fuel-consumption rating comparable to a light-duty F-150. NRCan excludes qualifying heavy pickups above 3,856 kg GVWR with beds at least 183 cm long from its light-duty ratings. Quoting a single official L/100 km number for this truck would therefore be misleading.
Fuel use depends on the selected gasoline or diesel engine, axle ratio, rear-wheel configuration, load and trailer. For ownership budgeting, use records from a comparable configuration and separate unloaded use from towing. Diesel ownership also involves diesel exhaust fluid and its related maintenance requirements.
Canadian pricing
Ford’s Canadian builder displayed the F-350 Platinum at C$108,300 for the 6.75-foot SRW box, C$108,900 for the eight-foot SRW box and C$110,150 for the eight-foot DRW box. These figures were starting configurations, before sales tax and registration.
The checked base SRW build showed C$108,005 MSRP plus C$2,795 in fees, less a C$2,500 delivery allowance, for a C$108,300 net price. The standard-output diesel was listed as a C$11,725 upgrade, and the High Output diesel as C$15,725. Those engine prices can trigger related configuration changes; use the builder’s complete total for a finished truck. Incentives and dealer pricing can change.
Competition and buyer fit
The Ram 3500 Limited, GMC Sierra 3500 HD Denali and Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD High Country are natural alternatives for a premium heavy-duty pickup. Compare Crew Cab models with the same rear-wheel layout and bed length, then check the actual payload and trailer ratings alongside the interior features.
Within Ford’s range, King Ranch offers a different leather and design theme, while Lariat provides a less expensive route to many convenience features. The F-350 Platinum suits buyers who need a heavy-duty truck and want its premium cabin equipment. The best configuration starts with the load and trailer requirements, followed by the engine and comfort options.
