2026 Ford F-150 XLT: Specs, Features & Pricing

The 2026 Ford F-150 XLT offers a wider choice of equipment than its familiar badge suggests. A basic six-seat truck and a High-package model with front buckets, premium audio and additional assistance systems are both XLTs. This guide explains the engines, cabin layouts and option groups using Ford’s Canadian specifications.

Models and cab configurations

The F-150 lineup includes XL, STX, XLT, Tremor, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Raptor. XLT is available as a SuperCab with a 6.5-foot bed, or a SuperCrew with a 5.5- or 6.5-foot bed. SuperCrew provides four full-size doors and more rear passenger space. A Regular Cab is not an XLT configuration.

Engines and transmission

The standard 2.7-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 produces 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Available gasoline alternatives are the 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 with 382 horsepower and 500 lb-ft, and the naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 with 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft. All use a ten-speed automatic. Availability changes with cab and drivetrain; the base SuperCab builder offers 4×2 or 4×4.

A 3.5-litre PowerBoost full hybrid is also available in the XLT range. Ford’s Ford Canada’s towing guides rates the hybrid at 420 hp and 570 lb-ft of torque. It combines a turbocharged V6 with an electric motor and offers Pro Power Onboard capability. It is a conventional hybrid that does not need external charging.

Towing, payload and the cargo bed

Ford quotes up to 13,500 lb (6,123 kg) of towing with a properly configured 3.5-litre EcoBoost F-150. The hybrid has a separate maximum of 11,600 lb (5,262 kg). These are configuration limits, not ratings for every XLT. Cab, bed, axle ratio, towing equipment and the actual payload allowance determine what an individual truck can carry and pull.

A Class IV receiver is included, while additional towing equipment and a trailer brake controller depend on the selected package. Check the exact configuration in the towing guide and the truck’s door-jamb payload label. Passengers, accessories, bed cargo and trailer tongue weight all consume payload. Bed length is another useful choice: a 6.5-foot box provides more room for longer loads than the 5.5-foot SuperCrew box.

Four XLT equipment groups

300A: The base configuration has cloth 40/20/40 front seating, a manual single-zone climate system and a urethane steering wheel. The folding front centre position allows six occupants with the rear bench. LED fog lamps and Zone Lighting are included. The builder lists 17-inch silver wheels for 4×2 and 18-inch painted wheels for 4×4.

301A Standard: This adds an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar adjustment, dual-zone automatic climate control and a wrapped steering wheel. Its front bench retains the centre seating position and adds armrest storage with locking storage beneath the centre section.

302A Mid: This adds heated front seats, a ten-way power driver’s seat, an eight-way power passenger seat, remote start, remote tailgate release, intelligent access and a power sliding rear window with defroster. Black running boards, heated mirrors with LED spotlights and 400-watt Pro Power Onboard outlets in the cab and bed are also included. Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is part of this group.

303A High: This builds on Mid equipment with cloth front buckets and a centre console, reducing seating to five. It includes power-adjustable pedals, the Mobile Office Package, Chrome Appearance equipment and an eight-speaker B&O system including a subwoofer. Choosing a higher XLT equipment group does not automatically add every available option.

Interior and seating

The XLT’s cabin is designed around usable storage and flexible seating. A 40/20/40 front bench accommodates three people in front; a 40/console/40 layout accommodates two. With the rear bench, that means six or five seats respectively. SuperCrew models have a larger rear cabin, and the rear seat cushions can fold up to free interior space for items that need to stay out of the weather.

Cloth is the normal XLT upholstery. Optional appearance packages can change the seat material and trim details. Heated seats and power passenger adjustment belong to the Mid and High groups described above, rather than the base 300A truck.

Infotainment and connected features

Centre infotainment touchscreen of the 2026 Ford F-150 XLT

The 2026 Ford F-150 XLT includes a 12-inch centre touchscreen with SYNC 4 and a 12-inch instrument display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect compatible phones, while physical controls remain available for frequently used functions. The High group’s eight-speaker B&O system is an upgrade over the standard audio setup.

Ford includes one year of its Connectivity Package with activation. Longer connected-service plans are optional, and navigation or other online functions can require an active plan. The Mid group also lists a one-year connected-navigation subscription. Pro Power Onboard output varies by engine and option selection; the Mid group’s 400-watt system should not be confused with the higher-output hybrid generator options.

Safety and driver assistance

Standard Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 equipment includes pre-collision assistance with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot information with trailer coverage, cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assistance, a rearview camera and rear parking sensors. Post-collision braking is also listed.

The Mid and High groups include Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0. It adds a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centring, predictive speed assistance, front parking sensors, Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. These features are not all standard on a base XLT. BlueCruise is optional on eligible XLT configurations and needs the applicable service plan. Assistance systems have operating limits and require an attentive driver.

Fuel economy

Natural Resources Canada rates the 2.7-litre F-150 at 12.7 L/100 km city, 9.5 highway and 11.2 combined with 4×2. The 4×4 version is rated at 13.1 city, 10.2 highway and 11.8 combined. Other 4×4 references are 14.0/10.2/12.3 for the 3.5-litre EcoBoost, 14.8/10.4/12.8 for the 5.0-litre V8, and 11.3/10.0/10.7 for the hybrid. Figures are city/highway/combined; tires and specific configurations can have separate ratings. Towing and winter conditions can increase consumption.

Pricing and option costs

Ford’s Canadian builder displayed XLT starting configurations at C$61,340 for SuperCab/6.5-foot, C$64,920 for SuperCrew/5.5-foot and C$71,220 for SuperCrew/6.5-foot. These are different configurations rather than a single cab-only surcharge.

The checked base SuperCab showed C$60,795 MSRP, C$2,795 in fees and a C$2,250 configuration discount, resulting in C$61,340 before sales tax and registration. In that builder, 301A was C$1,250, 302A C$7,440 and 303A C$10,035. The optional 3.5-litre EcoBoost was C$2,075 and the 5.0-litre V8 C$4,000. Engine and package combinations may change other selections, so the final configured total matters more than adding isolated option prices. Incentives can expire.

Competition

The Ram 1500 Big Horn, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT and GMC Sierra 1500 SLE are useful alternatives when comparing mainstream full-size pickup equipment. The Toyota Tundra SR5 is another option. Compare the same cab size, drivetrain, engine, towing equipment and heated-seat or camera packages: similarly positioned trim names do not guarantee equivalent features.

Within Ford’s range, STX emphasizes a sportier appearance at a lower equipment level, while Lariat adds more comfort and technology as standard. XLT makes sense for buyers who want to choose those upgrades individually, provided the price of a loaded XLT is checked against the next trim.

Frequently asked questions

Does the F-150 XLT have five or six seats?

It can have either. A front bench and rear bench provide six seats; front bucket seats with a console reduce the total to five. Check the actual seat configuration.

Are heated front seats standard on the base XLT?

No. The base 300A truck should not be assigned the comfort features of the Mid or High equipment groups. Confirm the equipment group and options on the individual truck.

Does the XLT PowerBoost hybrid require charging?

No. PowerBoost is a conventional full hybrid that does not plug in. Ford’s 2026 towing guide lists 420 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque for this powertrain.
