The 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser Premium adds a richer cabin and more technology to Toyota’s hybrid SUV. Its most notable model-year addition is heated and ventilated rear seating, giving second-row passengers a comfort upgrade. The Premium Package also brings leather, JBL audio and extra assistance features to the regular Land Cruiser grade.
This guide focuses on the 2027 Land Cruiser with the Premium Package. It covers the engine, equipment, towing, fuel economy, seating, infotainment, safety, CAD pricing and competing SUVs. The Automotive Car Reviews video below shows the featured model.
2027 Toyota Land Cruiser Premium: available models
The lineup comprises Land Cruiser 1958, Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser with the Premium Package. All share the hybrid powertrain. The 1958 has round LED headlights and a simpler interior specification. The regular Land Cruiser adds rectangular LED headlights, SofTex upholstery, ventilated front seats and additional technology.
Premium is a package on the Land Cruiser grade. It combines that grade’s equipment with the upgrades described below. When comparing listings, check whether “Land Cruiser” means the model family, the regular grade or a vehicle fitted with Premium; the distinction changes the cabin and safety equipment.
Engine, transmission and four-wheel drive

The i-FORCE MAX powertrain pairs a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with hybrid assistance. Total system output is 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic and full-time four-wheel drive are standard.
This is a conventional hybrid rather than a plug-in model. Ownership planning centres on gasoline use and the hybrid system’s operation, without a routine charging connection. Toyota lists a nickel-metal hydride traction battery in the product summary.
The Land Cruiser has a locking rear differential and a lockable centre differential. The Premium-equipped Land Cruiser also retains the front stabilizer disconnect mechanism and Multi-Terrain Select. These are equipment features; their suitability depends on terrain and the instructions for using them.
Towing and useful equipment

Toyota lists a maximum towing capacity of 2,722 kg (6,000 lb), with a factory tow hitch. The specification applies when the vehicle and trailer are properly equipped and loaded. The rating should be assessed alongside trailer tongue weight and the remaining capacity for passengers and gear.
Toyota’s published payload calculation is based on the base vehicle’s weight. Premium equipment and accessories can change the actual allowance, so use the load-carrying label on the vehicle you buy. A trailer’s dry weight alone cannot establish whether a loaded combination fits the limits.
Crawl Control and Downhill Assist Control are included. The Premium Package adds 20-inch alloy wheels with 265/60R20 tires and illuminated running boards. Compare wheel size and replacement-tire cost when deciding between Premium and a lower-priced configuration.
Fuel economy
Toyota’s current 2027 product summary gives 10.7 L/100 km city, 9.5 L/100 km highway and 10.1 L/100 km combined. Fuel capacity is listed as 68 litres. These figures use approved government test methods and provide a comparison baseline.
A hybrid badge does not imply the same consumption as a smaller hybrid crossover. Vehicle size, four-wheel-drive equipment, load and conditions affect the result. For a realistic annual budget, combine your expected distance with the 10.1 L/100 km rating, then leave room for seasonal variation.
Interior, seating and cargo

The 2027 Land Cruiser Premium seats five in two rows. Leather replaces the regular Land Cruiser’s SofTex upholstery. Both front seats offer eight-way power adjustment; the driver’s seat includes memory. Heated and ventilated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and a power-adjustable steering column are part of the configuration.
New for 2027, Premium includes heated and ventilated rear seats. Other package additions include a centre-console cooler box. The Land Cruiser grade supplies three-zone automatic climate control, a moonroof and a power back door.
Toyota lists 1,062 litres of cargo capacity. A five-seat layout leaves buyers needing to assess passenger space and luggage together, especially when child seats or bulky outdoor equipment are involved. Bring the items you use regularly when checking how the cargo opening and cabin fit your needs.
The cargo area also has a 2,400-watt AC output. Confirm an appliance’s requirements and the vehicle’s power-use instructions before relying on it. Roof accessories, storage systems and other added equipment count toward the vehicle’s load allowance.

Infotainment and displays

Premium pairs the 12.3-inch Toyota Multimedia touchscreen with a 14-speaker JBL audio system. A separate 12.3-inch digital instrument display presents vehicle information. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a wireless charging pad and six USB-C charging ports provide several ways to connect or charge devices.
The Premium Package also includes a head-up display, digital rearview mirror and Digital Key. The head-up display and centre screen serve different purposes, while the digital mirror provides a camera view rather than relying only on a reflection through the cabin.
Toyota’s current materials list five-year trials for Safety Connect, Service Connect and Remote Connect, with a three-month Drive Connect trial. Connected features depend on compatible devices, activation and network availability; subscriptions may be required after trials. Confirm the terms supplied with the vehicle, especially if built-in connected navigation or Digital Key matters to you.
Safety and assistance features
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard. Its listed functions include a Pre-Collision System with pedestrian and bicycle detection, intersection support and emergency steering assistance; Lane Departure Alert with steering assistance; Lane Tracing Assist; Dynamic Radar Cruise Control; and Automatic High Beams.
The current specification also lists Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, parking assistance with automatic braking and nine airbags. The Land Cruiser grade includes a Multi-Terrain Monitor for additional camera views.
Premium adds Front Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist and Traffic Jam Assist. These are assistance systems with specific operating conditions. Their inclusion should not be read as permission to stop monitoring the vehicle and its surroundings. Check the owner’s manual for availability, activation and subscription requirements.
CAD pricing
Toyota Canada’s April 2026 launch pricing listed the Land Cruiser Premium Package at $86,835 CAD MSRP. The announced estimated vehicle price was $90,493, including freight/PDI, the A/C charge and maximum dealer and other listed fees. Sales taxes, licensing, insurance and registration were excluded.
For comparison, the announced MSRP was $71,670 for the 1958 and $80,460 for the regular Land Cruiser. Their estimated vehicle prices were $75,328 and $84,118 respectively. Premium therefore added $6,375 to the regular Land Cruiser’s launch MSRP.
Those figures provide a dated reference for comparing the three versions. Current quotes can differ with paint, accessories, location and pricing changes. Request an itemized quote for the Premium Package so the equipment and additional charges are clear.
Competition and alternatives
The Toyota 4Runner Hybrid is a useful comparison within the same brand. Its i-FORCE MAX powertrain also offers 326 system horsepower and 465 lb-ft. Versions such as Trailhunter put a different emphasis on equipment, so compare seating, wheels, cabin comfort and purchase price against the Land Cruiser Premium.
The Ford Bronco range offers a contrasting removable-roof design. Buyers considering a Bronco alongside this Toyota should first decide whether an open-air body or a fixed-roof cabin suits their use, then compare the exact trim’s engine, trailer rating and comfort equipment.
Within the Land Cruiser lineup, the regular grade is the closest value comparison. Premium’s appeal rests mainly on its leather cabin, additional displays, upgraded audio, rear-seat comfort and extra assistance features. Match that equipment to your priorities before committing to the package cost.
