2027 Cadillac Escalade ESV-V: Specs, Features & Pricing

A supercharged V8 and the longer ESV body give the 2027 Cadillac Escalade ESV-V two distinct reasons to exist: performance and room for passengers with their luggage. The V-Series hardware brings more than a different grille, while the extra length deserves just as much attention as the horsepower when deciding whether this SUV fits your everyday use.

This guide covers the Canadian ESV V-Series, including its engine, towing limits, cabin equipment, technology and advertised Canadian pricing.

Models available

Cadillac’s 2027 Canadian range includes Luxury, Sport, Platinum Luxury, Platinum Sport and V-Series. ESV identifies the extended-length body; V-Series identifies the performance model. They describe different choices, so an ESV badge alone does not mean the vehicle has the supercharged engine.

The Canadian trim comparison lists four-wheel drive for the regular models and all-wheel drive for V-Series. Buyers mainly interested in the larger cabin can compare an ESV in another trim before committing to the V-Series powertrain.

Canadian trim comparison

All prices below are Cadillac Canada’s advertised starting figures for the 2027 Escalade ESV in Ontario, checked October 28, 2026. The differences compare those published starting figures with the ESV V-Series; they are not dealer upgrade quotes or prices for the vehicle in the video.

The published step from either Platinum trim to V-Series is $61,198. That premium mainly buys the performance powertrain and associated hardware, rather than access to the main Platinum cabin upgrades. Executive Second-Row seating and its 42-speaker audio system remain an optional package on the Platinum trims and V-Series. Compare it as an extra, not as an automatic benefit of choosing the V. Engine and transmission

The Escalade-V uses a hand-built, supercharged 6.2-litre V8 rated at 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive complete the powertrain. The supercharged engine is the defining mechanical difference from the regular Escalade’s 6.2-litre V8.

V-Series also brings Brembo six-piston front brake calipers, 409-mm front brake rotors, 24-inch wheels and an active-valve exhaust with four black outlets. These are meaningful hardware differences to consider alongside the engine, rather than treating V-Series as an appearance package. See Cadillac Canada’s 2027 V-Series details.

Suspension and drive modes

The V-Series specification combines Magnetic Ride Control with Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. Magnetic Ride Control adjusts the dampers, while the air suspension is a separate part of the chassis specification.

Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice, My Mode, V-Mode and Tow/Haul provide different settings. Cadillac describes Sport as changing transmission, steering and suspension behaviour; Snow/Ice softens the throttle response to help manage traction. My Mode and the V-Series-specific V-Mode allow personal settings, including engine sound and brake-pedal feel.

Towing and load limits

Cadillac Canada lists a maximum trailer rating of 3,175 kg (7,000 lb) for the Escalade-V ESV when properly equipped. The shorter Escalade-V is rated at 3,266 kg (7,200 lb). Those figures should not be interchanged, and the higher rating published for a non-V ESV does not apply to this model. Cadillac’s Canadian overview separates the body styles and powertrains.

The maximum trailer rating is only one limit. Before choosing a trailer, check the actual vehicle’s loading label, hitch limits and owner’s manual. Passengers, luggage, accessories and trailer tongue weight all use carrying capacity. A family filling the rear rows should do that calculation with everyone and their gear included.

Interior, seating and cargo

The ESV measures 5,765 mm long, compared with 5,383 mm for the standard Escalade. The longer body provides additional third-row legroom and luggage space. For a family travelling with all three rows occupied, the useful comparison is the remaining space behind the rear seat, rather than the maximum volume with seats folded.

The front-seat specification combines heating, ventilation and massage with a broad adjustment range. The V’s console refrigerator adds a useful detail for longer journeys: Cadillac lists a freezer mode and capacity for up to six 710-mL bottles.

The optional Executive Second-Row package takes a different approach to rear-seat use. It provides heated, ventilated and massaging seats, tray tables, wireless charging pads and rear controls. Families should compare that arrangement with the conventional second row for access and everyday practicality. The package is available on V-Series; it should not be assumed to be fitted to every ESV-V. Cadillac’s 2027 interior features show the two second-row approaches.

Infotainment and connectivity

A 55-inch Horizon Display spans the front cabin. Google built-in compatibility provides access to supported apps and services, with subscriptions required for full functionality. A full-colour head-up display puts selected information in the driver’s forward field of view.

Cadillac’s trim equipment list specifies the 38-speaker AKG Studio Reference system for V-Series through the Platinum Sport equipment package. The 42-speaker system belongs to the available Executive Second-Row package. That distinction matters when comparing vehicles advertised with an AKG system: the brand name alone does not identify which installation is included.

Safety features and Super Cruise

The 2027 safety equipment includes Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Rear Cross-Traffic Braking and Forward Collision Alert. Cadillac also lists Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, HD Surround Vision, a Rear Camera Mirror with washer and Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist.

Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance is standard with a three-year OnStar One plan. It works on compatible roads under the required conditions and needs an eligible active connected-services plan. The driver must keep watching the road and be ready to take over. Hands-free operation does not make the vehicle autonomous, and poor visibility or obscured lane markings can limit availability. Review Cadillac’s Super Cruise operating requirements before relying on it for a regular route.

Pricing in CAD

On October 28, 2026, Cadillac Canada’s Ontario pricing data listed the Escalade ESV V-Series from $242,435 CAD. This is the manufacturer’s advertised starting figure, not an as-equipped price for the vehicle in the video. It should not be read as an itemized MSRP breakdown. The shorter Escalade-V’s starting figure should not be used for an ESV-V comparison.

Confirm the current Canadian advertised price against an itemized quote for the exact vehicle. Have the retailer identify options, freight, dealer charges and applicable taxes, and specify which are already included. The Executive Second-Row package and any other selected equipment should appear separately so the final total can be compared on the same basis.

Competition

The closest comparison may be another Escalade ESV. Buyers who want the longer body and a well-equipped cabin, but place little value on the supercharged engine, should compare the Platinum trims. For those specifically choosing the V8 performance hardware, the V-Series has a much clearer purpose.

The Lincoln Navigator Reserve guide offers another starting point for a full-size luxury SUV comparison. Match the body length and seating configuration first, then compare the equipment and complete price. An impressive screen or audio specification cannot answer whether your normal luggage fits with the rear seats in use.

The ESV-V makes the strongest case for a buyer who wants both the supercharged drivetrain and the extended body. If either is unnecessary, a shorter V-Series or a non-V ESV deserves a close look. That choice will be more useful than simply buying the highest trim in the range.
