2026 Mercedes-Benz C 300 Exclusive vs 2027 Genesis G70 Advanced: Camera Equipment or Included Comfort?

A C 300 with named option packages should not be compared with a G70 Advanced as though both were stripped entry models. This pairing is useful because it puts specific parking, audio and driver-assistance equipment against a Genesis grade that includes considerable front-seat comfort but leaves some technology to higher trims.

The selected Mercedes is a Canadian 2026 C 300 4MATIC Sedan with Exclusive Trim and AMG Line with Night Package, VIN W1KAF4HB2TR303996. The Genesis is the 2027 G70 2.5T Advanced AWD. Exact 2026 Mercedes evidence is used as the verified fallback; this article does not assert that a 2027 Canadian C 300 is unavailable or carries unchanged equipment.

What the selected Mercedes actually documents

The Mercedes-Benz Edmonton West vehicle sheet identifies ARTICO upholstery, Burmester audio, DISTRONIC, a 360-degree camera and the named appearance/equipment packages. These are this vehicle’s listed features, not universal C 300 standard equipment. The same record specifies a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, mild-hybrid assistance, nine-speed automatic and AWD.

A camera system and adaptive distance control address different jobs. Test parking views in a situation representative of your garage, then have the retailer explain the assistance controls, operating limits and driver responsibilities. Do not interpret DISTRONIC as autonomous driving or assume that a car with blind-spot warnings necessarily has the same cruise-control functions.

The package names also need unpacking. An AMG Line appearance package does not turn this C 300 into a Mercedes-AMG C 43, and a sport brake description is not evidence of a shorter stopping distance in your conditions. Keep the actual wheel, tire, brake and suspension specification on the written offer instead of buying an implied performance identity.

Genesis comfort is strong, but Advanced has clear boundaries

The 2027 Canadian Genesis specification table lists leatherette, power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated wheel and a sunroof for Advanced. It includes navigation-based smart cruise control and Highway Driving Assist. Its parking camera is a rearview system; the surround-view monitor, head-up display and heated rear seats belong to higher grades.

That creates a practical split. If front-seat cooling is essential, Advanced already puts it in the documented baseline. If an all-around parking view is essential, the selected Mercedes has it listed while this Genesis grade does not. Ask about a higher-grade G70 separately; do not evaluate Advanced with Prestige equipment borrowed from a showroom demonstrator.

The G70’s 2.5-litre turbo four-cylinder and eight-speed automatic are a different combination from the Mercedes system. Neither the extra transmission ratio nor the hybrid label establishes a fuel-cost winner here. Compare the exact Canadian consumption labels and fuel requirements for the vehicles on the final quotes, using your own distance and pump-price assumptions.

The advertised totals do not have the same scope

On October 31, 2026, Mercedes-Benz Canada’s Ontario configurator displayed C$75,041 selling price for a 2026 C 300 4MATIC with Exclusive Trim, AMG Line with Night Package, required navigation/audio selections, black paint, ARTICO and 18-inch AMG wheels. This includes the manufacturer’s stated freight/PDI, administration charges and applicable levies; sales taxes, licensing, insurance, registration and financing-related registration fees are extra. It is a reference build, not a verified price for the featured VIN: additional equipment, including its listed DISTRONIC, must still be matched.

Genesis Canada’s 2027 G70 Advanced AWD in Uyuni White remains C$57,150, checked October 31, 2026, including fees and levies but excluding sales taxes, registration, insurance, PPSA/RDPRM and licensing. Other paint colours cost more. Do not subtract this from the Mercedes reference build and call the result the cost of the badge: the equipment and fee bases differ. Request itemized offers for the configurations you actually want, including any move to a higher Genesis grade.

Included care versus a separately priced service plan

Genesis Canada states five years or 100,000 km of complimentary scheduled maintenance, whichever comes first. Mercedes-Benz Canada offers Prepaid Maintenance plans; their existence is not proof that this retailer’s asking price includes one. Ask the Mercedes retailer to identify any included service contract and price any optional plan separately.

Match the duration, distance, covered visits and exclusions before comparing the plans. Check the vehicle’s service start date, especially if it has been registered or used as a demonstrator. Then obtain tire and insurance quotes for the actual builds. Scheduled maintenance, warranty coverage and a reserve for unexpected expenses are different budget lines.

Our vehicle quote comparison guide provides a way to separate those costs from the payment. Shortlist G70 Advanced for its documented comfort baseline and included-care proposition. Shortlist this C 300 if its specific camera, assistance, audio and cabin arrangement justify its complete offer. A real test drive and feature demonstration should decide the preferences that specifications cannot.

This comparison uses Canadian equipment records to assess the selected builds and buying considerations.
