2025 Ford F-150 Raptor R: Specs, Features & Canadian Pricing

The 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor R puts a 720-horsepower supercharged V8 in a pickup already built around specialized off-road hardware. Its 37-inch tires, dual-valve shocks and RECARO front seats are part of the specification, not upgrades needed to make an ordinary Raptor into the R. The price and fuel-consumption differences are just as important as the extra power.

This guide covers the Raptor R featured in our video, separating its standard equipment from options and comparing it with other Canadian 2025 F-150 off-road choices. The video description confirms the Raptor R and supercharged V8 but does not establish every installed accessory or an as-tested price.

Models available

The wider F-150 range includes XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Tremor and Raptor. Within Raptor, the 801A specification uses the high-output 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6. The 802A Raptor 37 equipment group keeps that V6 but adds larger tires and other hardware. The 803A Raptor R group changes to the supercharged V8.

All three Raptor configurations use the four-door SuperCrew cab, four-wheel drive and a 5½-foot box. The Raptor 37 is an equipment-group choice within Raptor, not a separate engine trim. This matters when comparing listings: 37-inch tires alone do not identify a genuine Raptor R.

Engine and transmission

The Raptor R’s 5.2-litre supercharged V8 produces 720 hp at 6,650 rpm and 640 lb-ft at 4,250 rpm. The regular Raptor’s high-output 3.5-litre V6 makes 450 hp and 510 lb-ft. Both use a ten-speed automatic, so the R adds 270 hp and 130 lb-ft rather than a different transmission type. Ford Canada’s 2025 F-150 specifications.

That output is the main reason to consider the R. It does not turn the truck into the highest-rated tow vehicle in the F-150 family, nor does it make the extra cost worthwhile for every buyer. Someone who wants the Raptor chassis and cabin but does not specifically want the V8 should compare the V6 versions before committing to 803A.

Suspension, wheels and off-road equipment

Raptor uses a five-link rear suspension, FOX Live Valve shocks, skid plates and Trail Control. The R adds dual-valve shocks and 37×12.5R17 all-terrain tires on 17-inch forged-aluminum beadlock-capable wheels. The V6 Raptor 37 also has 37-inch tires and dual-valve shocks, but its wheels are cast aluminum rather than the R’s forged specification. Canadian Raptor 37 factory equipment record.

The R has its own grille, hood vent, interior accents and exterior identification. When buying used, establish what is factory equipment and what has been changed. A wheel’s beadlock-capable description is not a statement that a beadlock conversion is installed. Tires, suspension modifications and underbody condition deserve more attention than decals when assessing an off-road pickup.

Towing and load limits

Ford’s Canadian 2025 table gives the Raptor R configuration a maximum conventional trailer weight of 8,700 lb, approximately 3,946 kg. That entry is for the 5.2-litre V8, 4.10 axle, SuperCrew 4×4 and 15,300-lb gross combined weight rating. It is not the general F-150 maximum and remains dependent on the actual truck’s equipment and load.

The same guide says not to exceed a 5,000-lb trailer without a weight-distribution system, and it does not recommend fifth-wheel towing for Raptor. Check the receiver, loading label and remaining payload with passengers, cargo and trailer tongue weight included. The R’s extra power cannot remove those limits.

Fuel economy

Natural Resources Canada rates the 2025 Raptor R at 22.8 L/100 km city, 15.9 highway and 19.7 combined. The V6 Raptor is rated at 16.6 city, 13.1 highway and 15.0 combined. These standardized ratings are also shown on the Canadian factory records; they are not consumption measured during the video. NRCan’s 2025 Fuel Consumption Guide.

At 20,000 km annually, the combined ratings represent about 3,940 litres for the R and 3,000 litres for the V6—a difference of 940 litres before considering fuel prices. NRCan lists premium gasoline for the R and regular for the V6 rating. Budget with the appropriate fuel price for each, then allow for actual use rather than treating a laboratory figure as a guarantee.

Interior, seating and everyday use

The Raptor R’s RECARO front seats use black leather and suede-style material with Code Orange detailing. They retain power adjustment, heating and ventilation; this is not a stripped-out competition cabin. The rear seats are heated, and the SuperCrew layout provides five seating positions with a centre console between the front occupants.

Dual-zone automatic climate control and memory power-adjustable pedals are part of the Raptor equipment. A twin-panel moonroof remains optional. On the July 2025 Canadian archived label it adds $1,750, illustrating that even this expensive version is not automatically fitted with every available feature.

Try the front-seat bolsters, running boards and rear-seat access before choosing the R for daily use. The short box can be useful for ordinary cargo, but measure the equipment you actually carry and check parking clearances with the truck rather than assuming every F-150 configuration fits the same space.

Infotainment and driver assistance

A 12-inch digital instrument display accompanies the 12-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen. Standard Canadian Raptor equipment includes B&O audio, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera and six upfitter switches. The R’s engine upgrade does not buy a larger centre screen than the V6 Raptor.

Adaptive cruise control, pre-collision assistance with automatic emergency braking, a reversing camera and rear parking sensors are listed as standard. These are assistance features, not autonomous driving. Confirm camera and sensor operation on a used example, and check connected-service terms separately from equipment permanently built into the truck.

2025 Canadian trim and package comparison

The comparison below uses Canadian 2025 factory-label records checked on October 28, 2026. All are SuperCrew 4×4 pickups with a nominal 145-inch wheelbase and 5½-foot box. Prices include the named equipment group but exclude other options, delivery, federal air-conditioning excise tax and sales taxes. They come from different printed dates and are not a same-day quotation or current used-vehicle prices.

2025 trim or equipment groupHistorical MSRP basis (CAD)Printed label dateWhat distinguishes it
Tremor 401A$78,380October 21, 20253.5L EcoBoost V6, cloth seating and 18-inch wheels. Separate Tow/Haul and Bed Utility packages cost extra on this record.
Raptor 801A$108,875August 27, 2025450-hp high-output V6, 35-inch-class tires and Raptor chassis. Moonroof remains optional.
Raptor with 802A Raptor 37$123,615February 27, 2025$108,475 base plus $15,140 group; V6 retained, with 37-inch tires, dual-valve shocks and RECARO seats.
Raptor R 803A$151,030 — archived label basisJuly 21, 2025$108,875 base plus $42,155 group; 720-hp supercharged V8, 37-inch tires and forged wheels. Archived original Canadian Ford label.

The R’s documented 803A group price is $42,155, rather than the difference between a bare Raptor and a fully optioned dealer listing. On the archived July record, adding $2,595 delivery and $100 federal air-conditioning excise gives $153,725 before other options and sales taxes. That example totals $156,305 after its additional equipment; it is not the truck in the video.

Historical-source note: the Raptor R price comes from an archived original Canadian Ford label, checked against its publicly displayed document image and corroborated by a separate September Canadian Ford label record. The live manufacturer links currently return a placeholder. These are dated factory prices, not current offers; no 2026 price or U.S. MSRP has been substituted.

Competition and which version makes sense

Raptor 37 is the closest comparison if the larger tires, seats and suspension equipment are the attraction. Raptor R is the choice specifically for the supercharged V8. Tremor offers a different off-road specification at a much lower documented starting point; it is not a Raptor with a different badge.

For newer model-year perspectives, see our 2026 F-150 Raptor review and 2026 F-150 Tremor review. Those prices and equipment should remain separate from this 2025 comparison.
