2024 Toyota Venza XLE Hybrid: Specs, Features & Canadian Pricing

The 2024 Toyota Venza XLE sits in the middle of a three-trim Canadian lineup, with a substantial equipment step above LE. It is worth a look if you want a hybrid crossover with more cabin convenience features, but do not need every item fitted to Limited. The main choice is equipment: the hybrid system and AWD are shared across the range.

Models available

The Canadian range consists of LE, XLE and Limited. All have electronic on-demand AWD and hybrid power. Choosing XLE is not necessary just to get either of those features. Toyota Canada’s 2024 model announcement.

Hybrid powertrain

The system combines a 2.5L four-cylinder with three electric motors for 219 net horsepower. This is a combined system figure, not a reason to add individual engine and motor outputs together. Canadian powertrain information.

Compare the hybrid decision separately from the trim decision. If you mainly want the powertrain, LE deserves consideration. If you value equipment used frequently by the driver and front passenger, XLE gives you specific upgrades to evaluate. A higher trim will not change the published system output in this lineup.

What XLE adds over LE

XLE adds 19-inch wheels, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, nine-speaker JBL audio, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel and driver-seat memory. Its SofTex upholstery should not be described as leather. XLE equipment details.

Technology and safety

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto are part of the Canadian equipment package. XLE’s interface includes capacitive touch controls, which are worth trying before purchase. Canadian technology information.

Canadian trim comparison and pricing

Toyota Canada’s November 10, 2023 announcement published the following 2024 starting MSRPs. Rechecked October 29, 2026. Freight/PDI, dealer charges, taxes, licensing and options are excluded from this MSRP comparison.

TrimOriginal CAD MSRPDifference from XLEWhat the step changes
LE$42,150Save $6,240Same hybrid/AWD; less comfort and multimedia equipment
XLE$48,390Reference12.3-inch touchscreen, JBL audio, ventilated front seats and driver memory
Limited$51,850Add $3,460Head-up display, digital rearview mirror, additional cameras and fixed Star Gaze roof

Limited adds a head-up display, digital rearview mirror, additional camera functionality and the Star Gaze fixed panoramic glass roof. Compare those benefits with the $3,460 original MSRP difference rather than assuming the top trim is necessary. Toyota Canada pricing and trim details.

These historical numbers explain the original positioning, not what a particular Venza is worth today. For a current purchase, compare complete quotes or asking prices, equipment, mileage and condition. Do not treat the original MSRP difference as a rule for what you should pay for two used vehicles.

Competition and buying verdict

Consider comparable-year Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and Honda CR-V Hybrid models alongside Venza, paying attention to the actual cabin and cargo layout. XLE is the useful middle-ground candidate when the seat and multimedia upgrades are priorities. LE keeps the same hybrid foundations, while Limited is the one to inspect if its additional camera, display and roof features matter to you.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need XLE to get AWD or hybrid power?
No. Both are included throughout the Canadian 2024 Venza lineup.

Does XLE include the Star Gaze roof?
Toyota lists that feature on Limited, not XLE. Check the actual vehicle rather than assuming features from top-trim promotional images.
