2023 Ram 1500 Sport Night Edition: Features & Canadian Trim Comparison

The 2023 Ram 1500 Sport Night Edition is a Canadian Sport-trim pickup with an additional appearance package. Its 22-inch black wheels and dark grille change the look, while the heated seats and large displays come from the underlying Sport trim. Rebel is the alternative for dedicated off-road hardware rather than this appearance package.

What Night Edition changes

The Canadian brochure identifies the Sport Night Edition with 22-inch black-painted wheels and a gloss-black grille with a black surround. The standard Sport wheel is 20 inches. Canadian Sport appearance packages. Those changes do not by themselves establish an off-road suspension or a power increase.

If you are comparing two used examples, check the original package list as well as the current wheels. A wheel swap or black aftermarket trim can alter appearance without establishing that the factory Night Edition package was ordered.

Sport cabin and technology

For 2023, the Canadian Sport equipment page lists heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 12-inch instrument display and a separate 12-inch Uconnect 5 NAV touchscreen. Leather-faced seats, air suspension, a panoramic roof and other packages remain separate choices. Sport standard and optional equipment.

Powertrain checks

The Canadian brochure lists these 2023 trims with the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 and an eight-speed automatic, with eTorque also offered. The engine rating is 395 hp and 410 lb-ft. Dated Canadian engine overview.

eTorque is a mild-hybrid system, not a plug-in powertrain. Its launch assistance does not change the published HEMI engine rating; identify the engine and eTorque equipment when comparing fuel consumption.

Towing, loading and fuel costs

Select towing information for the exact engine, axle ratio, cab and bed, then confirm the truck’s individual loading limits. The Canadian model-year brochure includes configuration tables and qualifications. A pickup-family maximum is not automatically the rating of a fully optioned Limited or Rebel.

The 2023 NRCan ratings distinguish engine, drivetrain and eTorque configurations. Use the matching entry rather than treating the trim or Night Edition badge as a single fuel-economy specification.

Canadian trim comparison and pricing

The following retained Canadian 2023 catalogue MSRP references were checked October 29, 2026. Their original effective date is unknown. All rows use Crew Cab 4×4 with the 5-foot-7 bed and base catalogue equipment. They exclude optional Night Edition and other upgrades; destination, taxes and other applicable charges are separate; dealer preparation must not be added again where already included. These are not launch-price claims, current VIN quotes or used-truck values.

Canadian trimCatalogue MSRP (CAD)Main distinction
Sport$67,89520-inch wheels, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a 12-inch centre touchscreen.
Rebel$69,945Bilstein shocks, locking rear differential, skid plates and 18-inch all-terrain tires; 8.4-inch centre screen.
Limited$84,145Full-leather front buckets, four-corner air suspension, blind-spot/trailer detection and wireless charging.

Source: Canadian 2023 catalogue. The base Sport reference is $2,050 below Rebel and $16,250 below Limited. Those differences do not include a verified Night Edition price. Decide whether you want the Sport appearance, Rebel hardware or Limited cabin before comparing optioned offers.

The Limited base-price reference includes dealer preparation, with destination charged separately. The source records do not establish a common original effective date across all three trims, so the differences are historical reference arithmetic rather than a simultaneous dealer offer.
