The 2023 Ram 1500 Rebel Night Edition starts with the Rebel’s off-road equipment and adds a darker appearance. The important distinction is that Night Edition is a package on the Rebel, not a separate engine or an automatic upgrade to every available convenience feature.

Rebel equipment versus Night Edition
The Canadian 2023 brochure lists Rebel with Bilstein shocks, an electronic-locking rear differential, skid plates and a 3.92 rear axle. Night Edition adds gloss-black 18-inch wheels and dark grille, bumper and skid-plate treatments. Canadian brochure, Rebel section.
That is a different combination from the Sport Night Edition’s 22-inch wheels. Do not use a generic Night Edition equipment list for every Ram trim. The package changes must be read alongside the underlying trim, not treated as a universal specification.
Cabin and options
The same brochure identifies an 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 NAV touchscreen for Rebel and lists air suspension, leather seating, advanced safety equipment and several convenience groups separately. Rebel equipment and options. A 12-inch instrument display is not the same thing as a 12-inch centre touchscreen.
Powertrain checks
The Canadian brochure lists these 2023 trims with the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 and an eight-speed automatic, with eTorque also offered. The engine rating is 395 hp and 410 lb-ft. Dated Canadian engine overview.
eTorque is a mild-hybrid system, not a plug-in powertrain. Its launch assistance does not change the published HEMI engine rating; identify the engine and eTorque equipment when comparing fuel consumption.
Towing, loading and fuel costs
Select towing information for the exact engine, axle ratio, cab and bed, then confirm the truck’s individual loading limits. The Canadian model-year brochure includes configuration tables and qualifications. A pickup-family maximum is not automatically the rating of a fully optioned Limited or Rebel.
The 2023 NRCan ratings distinguish engine, drivetrain and eTorque configurations. Use the matching entry rather than treating the trim or Night Edition badge as a single fuel-economy specification.
Canadian trim comparison and pricing
The following retained Canadian 2023 catalogue MSRP references were checked October 29, 2026. Their original effective date is unknown. All rows use Crew Cab 4×4 with the 5-foot-7 bed and base catalogue equipment. They exclude optional Night Edition and other upgrades; destination, taxes and other applicable charges are separate; dealer preparation must not be added again where already included. These are not launch-price claims, current VIN quotes or used-truck values.
| Canadian trim | Catalogue MSRP (CAD) | Main distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Sport | $67,895 | 20-inch wheels, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a 12-inch centre touchscreen. |
| Rebel | $69,945 | Bilstein shocks, locking rear differential, skid plates and 18-inch all-terrain tires; 8.4-inch centre screen. |
| Limited | $84,145 | Full-leather front buckets, four-corner air suspension, blind-spot/trailer detection and wireless charging. |
Source: Canadian 2023 catalogue. The base Rebel reference is $2,050 above Sport and $14,200 below Limited. These are base-trim gaps, not the price of Night Edition. No unverified package surcharge has been added.
The Limited base-price reference includes dealer preparation, with destination charged separately. The source records do not establish a common original effective date across all three trims, so the differences are historical reference arithmetic rather than a simultaneous dealer offer.
