2027 Cadillac Escalade Platinum Sport

Cadillac Canada lists Luxury, Sport, Platinum Luxury, Platinum Sport and V-Series for 2027. Escalade and the longer ESV are separate body choices; this comparison uses standard-length Escalade. Canadian 2027 model range.

Engine and drivetrain

The Canadian configurator identifies Platinum Sport with a 6.2-litre V8, 10-speed automatic and 4WD. V-Series instead uses a supercharged V8 and AWD. Moving into Platinum Sport is therefore not the same as buying the V-Series powertrain. Cadillac Canada configuration comparison.

Before towing, check the specific vehicle’s certification labels, payload and trailering documentation. Passengers, luggage and trailer tongue weight all affect the usable allowance. Use the rating for the actual combination rather than a model-wide maximum.

Fuel economy

The Canadian dealer’s 2027 catalog lists estimated consumption of 16.6 L/100 km city, 13.0 highway and 15.0 combined for the regular-V8 4WD configuration. These are dealer estimates; confirm the 2027 EnerGuide label for the actual vehicle. Deschamps 2027 catalog.

At that combined estimate, 20,000 km represents approximately 3,000 litres. Multiplying by your expected fuel price gives a useful planning figure, but winter operation, idling and traffic can change actual consumption. Ask for the correct fuel requirement and current EnerGuide label on the vehicle being purchased.

Interior and technology

Platinum Sport adds semi-aniline front leather, massaging 16-way front seats, 38-speaker AKG audio, rear entertainment and the Touring Package with powered doors and air suspension. Executive second-row seating with 42-speaker audio, 24-inch wheels and a console refrigerator remain optional. The 55-inch Horizon Display is not exclusive to Platinum. Cadillac’s 2027 equipment breakdown.

Spend time testing the features that make up the upgrade cost. Check how the seat adjustments fit your body, how easily passengers operate the rear entertainment, and whether powered doors work conveniently in your usual parking space. Those are more useful comparisons than simply counting screens or speakers.

Night Vision and the visible camera

The window sticker on the vehicle in our review lists Night Vision as excluded. The camera function identified on this vehicle is augmented reality. A visible camera or a live forward image does not override a vehicle-specific equipment exclusion.

A Canadian 2027 dealer listing describes augmented reality as a live forward image with navigation directions overlaid when a route is active. That description does not establish Night Vision on the reviewed vehicle. Canadian 2027 augmented-reality description. Buyers who need Night Vision should request build documentation and an actual demonstration of that feature, rather than infer it from the trim or camera housing.

Driver assistance

Super Cruise is listed with three years of OnStar One. It remains driver assistance, not permission to stop watching the road; confirm compatible-road coverage, account activation and plan terms before purchase. Cadillac Canada feature information.

Which trim makes sense?

Sport is the direct value comparison if the dark exterior is the main attraction. Platinum Sport becomes more compelling when the seating, audio, rear entertainment and door conveniences are features you will regularly use. Compare the actual ordered equipment on both quotes: optional upgrades on a lower trim can narrow the gap, while a production deletion can change what the higher trim delivers.
