2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X: Features & Canadian Pricing

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X combines the Rubicon theme with a more extensive equipment package. Its appeal is not just having another badge above Rubicon: it is the possibility of getting the off-road and cabin features you want together, without treating every optional item as a separate shopping exercise.

What Rubicon X adds

Jeep’s Canadian package description includes steel bumpers with a winch-capable front, body-colour hardtop and flares, power leather seats, plus safety, technology and convenience groups. It also specifies a full-time 4:1 transfer case. 2024 Canadian Rubicon X package.

A winch-capable bumper does not mean a winch is installed. Likewise, check the exact roof and equipment codes on a used vehicle rather than treating an advertisement’s feature list as conclusive. Confirm that original equipment has not been removed or replaced, particularly when shopping a modified example.

The 35-inch tyre distinction

The same Canadian package description ties Xtreme 35 inclusion to the four-door automatic configuration. Do not assume every two-door or manual Rubicon X has 35-inch tyres because another example does. Xtreme 35 condition.

Engines and transmissions

The Canadian Rubicon family offers a 3.6L V6 with manual or automatic transmission and a 2.0L turbo with an automatic. Published outputs are 285 horsepower/260 lb-ft for the V6 and 270 horsepower/295 lb-ft for the turbo. Rubicon X is not the separate 6.4L Rubicon 392. Canadian powertrain specification.

Choose the transmission and body style before treating a trim-price gap as meaningful. A manual two-door quote cannot establish what an automatic four-door will cost, even if both use the Rubicon X name.

Cabin and everyday checks

For passengers, try access and seating with the people who will regularly travel with you. For cargo, use the gear you expect to carry rather than relying on a photograph with the rear seats folded. Off-road hardware cannot compensate for a body configuration that does not fit your daily needs.

Fuel consumption and towing

L/100 km from NRCan 2024. These rows identify Rubicon V6/automatic configurations, not a separately identified Rubicon X or Xtreme 35 test. They should not be assigned to a turbo or manual vehicle. Confirm the relevant label for the exact build.

Towing capacity also depends on the build. Verify the vehicle’s rated equipment and payload before committing to a trailer, accounting for passengers, luggage, accessories and tongue weight. Do not apply the Wrangler family’s maximum rating to every Rubicon X.

The $10,995 reference step from Rubicon to Rubicon X is substantial enough to justify an itemized equipment comparison. Start with the features you would otherwise add to Rubicon, then compare complete quotes. If much of the X package would go unused, the lower trim may be the more sensible purchase.

Buying verdict

Rubicon X is most compelling when both its trail-oriented equipment and cabin additions suit your plans. Compare an appropriately equipped Ford Bronco, but match body style, roof and powertrain rather than comparing badges alone. The best choice is the one that meets your requirements without leaving major equipment assumptions unresolved.
