The 2026 Ram 2500 Limited Longhorn combines heavy-duty hardware with a western-themed leather cabin. Its Bison Brown upholstery, filigree stitching and Longhorn details distinguish it from the contemporary black or red interior of the Limited. This guide covers Canadian specifications, equipment and pricing, with standard features separated from optional packages.

Models and configurations
The 2026 Ram 2500 range includes Tradesman, Big Horn, Black Express, Warlock, Laramie, Rebel, Power Wagon and Limited. Canadian dealer order sheets also identify the Limited Longhorn through its customer preferred package, including code 24K for a Cummins-equipped truck. Longhorn is a distinct equipment specification; a quote for the regular Limited should not be treated as a Longhorn quote.
Canadian inventory confirms a Limited Longhorn 4×4 Crew Cab with a 6-foot-4-inch box. That configuration has front bucket seats and a rear bench for five passengers. A six-seat front bench offered elsewhere in the heavy-duty range does not make this Longhorn a six-seater. Match the cab, box and seating layout on the actual order sheet.
Engines and transmission

The Ram 2500 engine range starts with a 6.4-litre HEMI gasoline V8 producing 405 hp and 429 lb-ft, paired with an eight-speed automatic. The available 6.7-litre high-output Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six produces 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft and uses an eight-speed TorqueFlite heavy-duty automatic.
The Canadian Limited Longhorn 24K configuration verified for this article uses the Cummins diesel. Its output should not be confused with older six-speed Cummins specifications. Engine availability and the customer preferred package must agree on the buyer’s order; the 2500 range’s gas engine is not evidence that every Longhorn configuration offers it.
Towing and payload

Ram advertises a 2026 2500 diesel maximum of 20,000 lb (9,072 kg) of towing and up to 3,590 lb (1,628 kg) of payload. These are range maximums from different qualifying configurations, not certified limits for the Limited Longhorn shown in the video.
A luxury cabin, passengers, bed accessories and trailer hitch weight all affect available payload. Use the door-jamb payload label and VIN-specific towing information to check the truck against the loaded trailer. Optional fifth-wheel/gooseneck preparation, rear auto-levelling air suspension and trailer cameras should be considered separately from the truck’s weight ratings.
Fuel economy
This heavy-duty pickup does not have a comparable published NRCan city/highway/combined fuel-consumption rating in the passenger-vehicle guide. There is therefore no official L/100 km number to quote here. Fuel use will vary with trailer weight, load, temperature and equipment. The Cummins also requires diesel exhaust fluid as part of its emissions system.
Interior and storage

Longhorn’s signature cabin features premium Bison Brown leather with filigree stitching. The verified Canadian configuration includes heated front bucket seats, a heated folding rear bench, front-seat ventilation, a heated steering wheel and multi-zone climate control. A full-length centre console provides covered storage between the front seats.
The Crew Cab equipment list also includes a fold-flat load floor with storage, under-seat storage and dual wireless charging pads. A power sunroof, bed utility equipment and rear air suspension appear as separately ordered options in Canadian inventory, so their presence on one truck does not establish standard fitment across the trim.

Infotainment and screens

The 2026 heavy-duty range uses Uconnect 5, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth connectivity. Navigation is listed on the Canadian Longhorn equipment sheet. Ram offers 8.4-inch, 12-inch and 14.5-inch central displays across the range, along with a 12-inch digital driver cluster and a 10.25-inch passenger display on suitably equipped trucks.
Screen availability must be checked against the Longhorn order, rather than copied from the regular Limited configurator. Connected services and the Wi-Fi hotspot may require subscriptions after included trials. The available 17-speaker Harman Kardon system is another item to verify on the equipment list before assuming the truck has it.
Safety and driver assistance
Verified Longhorn equipment includes forward collision warning with front collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, rear parking assistance and a backup camera. Stability control, traction control, tire-pressure monitoring and front/side/curtain airbags are also listed.
The optional Longhorn Level 1 Equipment Group adds active lane management, traffic-sign recognition, drowsy-driver detection, adaptive steering, a surround-view camera, a digital rearview mirror, cargo camera, trailer reverse guidance and trailer tire-pressure monitoring. Trailer accessories may be needed to use specific camera and monitoring functions.
Canadian pricing
An official Canadian retail equipment sheet for a 2026 Cummins Longhorn lists C$101,095 as the base vehicle MSRP, then itemizes the diesel at C$11,000 and transmission at C$2,995. The optional Longhorn Level 1 group is C$6,295. With that truck’s additional air suspension, sunroof, paint and bumper options, plus C$2,695 destination and C$100 air-conditioning excise tax, its total is C$128,560 before applicable sales taxes.
This is a documented configured example, not a price for the video vehicle or a current transaction offer. Dealer discounts and manufacturer promotions can change; compare written quotes with the same options and fees.
Competition
The Ford F-250 King Ranch and Platinum, GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali and Denali Ultimate, and Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD High Country are relevant alternatives. Compare diesel upgrade costs, usable payload, cab storage, camera packages and the final equipped price. Longhorn’s distinctive upholstery is a clear reason to shortlist it, while trailer requirements should decide the mechanical configuration.

Frequently asked questions
Which diesel is in the verified Limited Longhorn configuration?
The checked Canadian 24K build uses the 6.7-litre high-output Cummins with 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed TorqueFlite heavy-duty automatic.
Does the Ram 2500 range’s 20,000-lb towing maximum apply to every Longhorn?
No. That is a maximum for qualifying diesel configurations. The specific Longhorn’s cab, equipment, axle and loading limits determine the applicable rating.
Does optional rear air suspension increase the truck’s certified payload?
No. Load-levelling equipment does not replace the certified weight limits. Use the actual truck’s labels and towing information, including passengers, cargo and trailer hitch weight.
