2026 Ram 2500 Warlock: models and configuration

The Canadian 2500 family includes Tradesman, Big Horn, Black Express, Warlock, Laramie, Rebel, Limited and Limited Longhorn, alongside the specialized Power Wagon offering. Warlock is based on Tradesman equipment and is offered as a Crew Cab 4×4 with the short, 6-foot-4-inch box. It should not be confused with the separate Ram 1500 Warlock.

That combination gives this model a clear role: a four-door Heavy Duty truck with a usable cargo bed and added trail-oriented hardware. Buyers needing a different cab or a long box should compare another 2500 configuration rather than assuming the Warlock package transfers to every body.

Ram 2500 Warlock engine specifications

The standard 6.4-litre HEMI V8 produces 405 hp and 429 lb-ft. An available 6.7-litre high-output Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six produces 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft. Both engine choices use an eight-speed automatic; the diesel’s torque figure does not belong to the gas V8.

The diesel is relevant when the intended workload justifies its different price and maintenance needs. For the gas model shown in this review, compare the HEMI’s own capability data, rather than attaching the diesel’s advertised maximum towing figure to the truck. Ram’s Canadian capability page separates the two powertrains.

Warlock exterior and off-road equipment

The package adds black grille surrounds, fender flares and bumpers, Warlock bedside graphics, 20-inch diamond-cut wheels, Goodyear Duratrac all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, an anti-spin rear differential, a transfer-case skid plate and hill-descent control. Ram Canada lists 33-inch Goodyear Duratrac tires for the package; check the tire sidewall and build sheet for the individual truck.

An anti-spin differential is not the same claim as front and rear selectable locking differentials. The Warlock should therefore not be described as carrying all of the Power Wagon’s specialized hardware. Its appeal is the combination of a Tradesman-based cabin and the listed factory package, rather than a luxury interior or every available off-road feature.

Ram 2500 Warlock towing and payload

Ram Canada’s gas Warlock comparison configuration lists 6,817 kg of towing capacity and 1,506 kg of payload. Treat those as reference figures for the listed base configuration, not ratings for the vehicle in the video or every optioned Warlock. The comparison table also contains generic tire information that does not match the package highlights, making the truck’s own labels especially important.

The broader 2500 range advertises up to 20,000 lb of diesel towing and 4,580 lb of gas payload. Those maxima do not replace a Warlock-specific rating. Engine, axle ratio, installed equipment and the weight of accessories all matter. Passengers, cargo and trailer tongue weight share the available payload, so assess them together.

Fuel economy

A verified Canadian city/highway/combined fuel-consumption rating is not available here for the Warlock. Heavy-duty pickups are not directly comparable with light-duty Ram 1500 entries in NRCan’s guide. This article therefore does not substitute a 1500 fuel rating or invent an estimate for the 2500.

For an ownership budget, use records from the same engine, axle, tire and workload configuration. Fuel use while towing can differ substantially from an unloaded truck, and a diesel-versus-gas decision should include maintenance and purchase cost as well as fuel.

Ram 2500 Warlock interior and seating

Warlock’s cloth front bench and rear bench provide six seating positions in the standard Crew Cab arrangement. The passenger count follows the seat configuration; it is not simply “five or six by cab.” All-weather floor mats are part of the Warlock package, while the work-oriented cabin remains distinct from Laramie and Limited interiors.

The short bed is useful for equipment that is better carried outside the cabin. Before adding a cap, bed liner, toolbox or other accessory, allow for its weight in the payload calculation. When six passengers are required, inspect the front centre seating position and child-restraint arrangements as part of the actual use case.

Infotainment and technology

Uconnect 5 is standard across the 2026 2500 range, with an 8.4-inch touchscreen as the starting specification and support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth. Ram also advertises 12-inch and 14.5-inch systems across the lineup; their availability depends on trim and equipment. Neither a large screen nor the passenger display should be described as standard Warlock equipment without the build sheet.

Connected functions may require compatible devices, enrollment or subscriptions. Compare the exact display, audio system and connectivity package when looking at two trucks, because the exterior Warlock badge does not identify every cabin option.

Safety features

Ram Canada lists forward collision warning with active braking and adaptive cruise control as standard for the 2026 2500. The Crew Cab equipment reference also includes front and side-impact airbags, curtain airbags for both rows, traction control and rear child-safety locks.

LaneSense lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assistance, drowsy-driver detection and traffic-sign recognition are advertised as available across the range. They should not all be labelled standard Warlock features. Parking sensors, camera systems and other packages likewise need to be checked on the individual order. See Ram Canada’s safety overview.

Canadian pricing

Ram Canada’s Models & Specs page displayed the Warlock from C$83,730. Its overview page displayed a different discounted reference, C$73,330, so the pages should not be treated as an agreed selling price for the reviewed truck. Ram’s pricing disclosure incorporates freight and applicable manufacturer discounts, with taxes and other ownership costs excluded; confirm the chosen engine and incentive eligibility in an itemized quote.

Competition and buying considerations

Compare the Warlock with Ford F-250 configurations equipped for off-road use, Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Custom or LT with relevant packages, and GMC Sierra 2500 HD alternatives. Match the engine, cab, box and installed capability equipment before drawing a price comparison. Within Ram, also compare Tradesman, Rebel and Power Wagon for the specific hardware you need.

The 2026 Ram 2500 Warlock makes sense on paper for a buyer who wants Heavy Duty cargo and towing potential, six-seat practicality and a factory exterior package without prioritizing the richest cabin materials. Its compromises are configuration-dependent capability, a substantial operating budget and fewer luxury features than the higher trims.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Ram 2500 Warlock have six seats?

The standard Crew Cab arrangement uses cloth front and rear benches for six seating positions. Confirm that layout on the truck you are considering.

Can the Ram 2500 Warlock be ordered with a diesel?

Yes. Alongside the standard 6.4-litre HEMI gasoline V8, an available 6.7-litre high-output Cummins diesel produces 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. Both engine choices use an eight-speed automatic.

Can I apply the Ram 2500 range’s maximum towing figure to any Warlock?

No. Warlock’s rating depends on its engine, configuration and equipment. Use the truck’s applicable towing documentation and payload label, allowing for passengers, accessories, cargo and trailer tongue weight.
