2026 Ram 2500 Rebel: Specs, Features & Pricing

The 2026 Ram 2500 Rebel combines heavy-duty engine choices with Bilstein shocks, protective skid plates and a locking rear axle. It also offers two noticeably different cabin arrangements: a standard six-seat bench layout or optional front buckets that create a five-seat cabin. Engine, seats and equipment groups all deserve attention when comparing this truck.

This guide covers the Ram 2500 Rebel’s engines, towing, payload, fuel-economy information, interior, infotainment, safety and CAD pricing. The Rebel is a separate specification from the Power Wagon and the smaller Ram 1500 Rebel, so neither of those models’ ratings should be used automatically.

Models and configuration

The 2026 Ram 2500 lineup includes Tradesman, Big Horn, Black Express, Warlock, Laramie, Rebel, Power Wagon and Limited. Each combines different cabin equipment and chassis features. Rebel adds dedicated hardware while retaining a choice of gasoline or diesel power.

The checked Rebel uses a Crew Cab with a 6-foot-4-inch bed and four-wheel drive. Standard seating is a heated cloth front bench and a three-person rear bench, allowing six occupants. Optional leather-faced front bucket seats reduce total seating to five and add a full-length console through the appropriate equipment combination.

The distinction matters when carrying a crew or family. A bucket-seat truck photographed in a review does not establish that every Rebel has the same passenger capacity. Check the order sheet and the actual seats in the vehicle being considered.

2026 Ram 2500 Rebel engines

The standard 6.4-litre HEMI gasoline V8 produces 405 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. The checked base configuration has a 3.73 rear axle ratio and a 4,535-kg gross vehicle weight rating; a 4.10 axle ratio is available.

The optional High-Output 6.7-litre Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six produces 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. It pairs with the TorqueFlite HD eight-speed automatic. This is the current high-output engine and transmission combination, so specifications from an older Cummins model can be misleading.

The diesel powertrain package was listed at $13,995: $11,000 for the engine and $2,995 for its transmission. Promotional engine discounts can change the effective purchase price. Compare the entire configured total rather than treating a no-charge engine offer as a no-charge powertrain change.

Suspension and exterior hardware

Rebel standard equipment includes front and rear performance-tuned Bilstein monotube shocks, a rear limited-slip differential and a rear electronic locker. Fuel-tank and transfer-case skid plates provide additional underbody protection. The model comparison lists coil rear springs and off-road suspension tuning.

The checked configuration uses 20-inch Black Diamond-cut aluminum wheels with LT285/60R20E all-terrain tires. Wheel and tire alternatives are available, so match the selected build’s tire specification when comparing trucks. Do not substitute Power Wagon suspension or axle equipment simply because both models have an off-road emphasis.

The configurator includes rock rails with step pads and a deployable bed step among equipment that can be deleted for a credit. Other groups add a bedliner, lighting and storage-related accessories. Inspect the actual options to establish which features accompany the truck.

Towing and payload

Ram’s model comparison lists 6,668 kg of towing capacity and 1,356 kg of payload for its gasoline Rebel configuration. Those are configuration-specific figures rather than ratings that apply to every Rebel. Engine, axle selection, installed options and vehicle weight can change the result.

The wider Ram 2500 range has an advertised diesel towing maximum of 20,000 lb when properly equipped. That overall maximum should not be assigned to an individual Rebel without checking the configuration. Obtain the exact truck’s towing documentation and verify the intended hitch type and trailer.

Use the door-jamb payload label for the actual vehicle. People, tools, accessories, cargo and trailer tongue or pin weight all share its available payload. The final combination must also satisfy axle, hitch and combined-weight limits.

Optional Towing Technology and Tow Technology Plus groups add further assistance equipment. Trailer-camera wiring appears as a separate choice and does not include a camera. Confirm hardware, installation requirements and compatible trailer equipment before adding those features to a purchase comparison.

Fuel economy and ownership costs

The Ram 2500 Rebel is a heavy-duty pickup, and a standard NRCan city, highway and combined fuel rating is not provided in the light-duty fuel-consumption guide for this model. A Ram 1500 rating should not be used as a substitute. This article therefore does not assign an unsupported L/100 km figure.

The gasoline model uses a 6.4-litre engine, while the Cummins version uses diesel and has its own service requirements, including diesel exhaust fluid. Engine choice affects initial cost, maintenance and fuel spending as well as torque. Build a budget around expected annual distance, trailer use and local fuel prices.

Fuel consumption can change substantially with trailer weight, idling, cold weather and cargo. A fuel-tank capacity indicates how much the tank holds, rather than establishing a guaranteed range between fills.

Interior and comfort equipment

The standard heated cloth bench includes an eight-way power driver seat with two-way lumbar adjustment. The front passenger seat is manually adjustable. The comparison table lists a split-folding rear seat, manual tilt steering adjustment and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The base cabin has a conventional auto-dimming rearview mirror and a household-style power outlet. A partial front console accompanies the bench arrangement. Upgraded front buckets change both the storage layout and the number of occupants.

Rebel Level 2 adds leather-faced buckets, front-seat ventilation, eight-way power adjustment for both front occupants, driver memory, heated second-row seats and a heated steering wheel. It also lists a fold-flat load floor, memory for mirrors and adjustable pedals, proximity entry and power-deployable running boards.

Level 2 includes a spray-in bedliner, LED bed lighting and additional interior lighting. These upgrades should be treated as package equipment rather than universal Rebel features. The selected vehicle’s window sticker is the useful record of its installed options.

Infotainment and displays

Standard equipment includes Uconnect 5 NAV with a 12-inch touchscreen and a 12-inch digital gauge cluster. The model comparison lists six speakers and Bluetooth connectivity. Compatible-phone integration and connected services depend on the listed Uconnect equipment and service terms.

Rebel Level 2 upgrades the centre touchscreen to 14.4 inches and adds a front passenger interactive display, dual wireless charging pads and a 17-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. It also includes navigation-related connected services, additional USB charging equipment and a cargo-view camera.

Hotspot data, satellite radio and connected apps have activation and subscription conditions. Review the included service periods and later charges before assuming that every connected function remains free throughout ownership.

2026 Ram 2500 Rebel safety features

The model comparison lists forward collision warning with active braking, blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go. Front and rear ParkSense sensors are also listed. Standard protection includes front-impact airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags and curtain airbags for both rows.

Stability control with anti-rollover functionality, anti-lock brakes and tire-pressure monitoring appear in the standard specification. Assistance features can have operating limits related to visibility, road conditions and the objects they detect.

The optional Safety Group lists Active Lane Management, adaptive steering, automatic high-beam control, drowsy-driver detection, rain-sensing wipers and traffic-sign recognition. Those features should not all be described as standard. Check the complete build for further camera and trailer-related systems.

2026 Ram 2500 Rebel pricing

The Ontario configurator showed a base-price total of $94,290 CAD for the standard gasoline configuration. Ram’s base-price definition includes freight, the federal air-conditioning surcharge and applicable levies. Sales tax and further options are separate.

An $8,000 consumer cash discount reduced the displayed estimated amount to $86,290 CAD. This is an offer-dependent amount, rather than the regular starting total. Registration, insurance, dealer administration and other applicable charges may be additional.

Listed groups included Rebel Level 1 at $3,495, Rebel Level 2 at $8,095 and Safety Group at $2,395. Towing Technology Group was $2,095, Tow Technology Plus was $1,795 and Bed Utility Group was $1,695. The 2.4-kW onboard power system was a separate $1,795 option.

The configurator also showed a Rebel Upgrade Package credit with its own conditions. Review the full build and available offer terms rather than adding every advertised credit together. Gasoline and diesel offers may have different eligibility rules.

Competition and configuration priorities

The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD ZR2, GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4 or AT4X, and suitably equipped Ford F-250 models are relevant heavy-duty comparisons. Compare engine type, passenger capacity, trailer ratings and installed packages at the same equipment level.

Within Ram’s range, Power Wagon has a different hardware emphasis, while Laramie and Limited alter the cabin specification. Rebel buyers should start with passenger and trailer requirements, then compare the gasoline and diesel builds. A six-seat bench truck and a five-seat Level 2 truck solve different cabin needs.
