2026 Jeep Cherokee Limited: Specs, Features & Pricing

The 2026 Jeep Cherokee Limited returns as a five-seat hybrid SUV with standard all-wheel drive, a 12.3-inch touchscreen and an emphasis on everyday cabin equipment. Limited sits above Laredo, adding perforated Capri leatherette upholstery, a power passenger seat, wireless phone charging and a power liftgate. Its powertrain is shared across the range, so the upgrade is primarily about equipment.

The Automotive Car Reviews walkaround below shows the Cherokee Limited. The specifications and option details in this article refer to the Canadian 2026 model.

2026 Cherokee Models and Trims

The Canadian lineup includes Cherokee, Laredo, Limited, 85th Anniversary Edition and Overland. Every model uses the 1.6-litre turbo hybrid and Jeep Active Drive AWD. The entry Cherokee includes heated front seats and the two digital displays; Laredo adds a power driver seat, heated steering wheel, remote start and LED fog lamps.

Limited adds the cabin and convenience features described here. The 85th Anniversary Edition brings anniversary styling and upgraded infotainment equipment, while Overland occupies the upper end of the range. Compare their package content as well as their starting prices, because an optioned Limited can approach the next trim.

Hybrid Engine and Standard AWD

The 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid produces 210 hp and 230 lb-ft of combined system output. It works with an Electronic Variable Transmission, or EVT. The gasoline engine’s separate output should not be confused with the combined hybrid figure.

This is a conventional hybrid: the engine and regenerative braking replenish the traction battery, so it does not require plugging in. Active Drive AWD is standard, with automatic distribution of power between the front and rear wheels. Selec-Terrain offers Auto, Sport, Snow and Sand/Mud settings. There is no front-wheel-drive Limited configuration in this Canadian lineup.

Towing and Fuel Economy

Jeep publishes a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 lb, approximately 1,588 kg, when properly equipped. The optional $1,495 Trailer Tow Group includes a Class III receiver, seven- and four-pin wiring, trailer hitch zoom, a compact spare and blind-spot monitoring with trailer detection. The trailer’s loaded weight and tongue weight must fit the vehicle’s individual limits; passengers and cargo also use payload capacity.

Jeep’s 2026 capability page lists an EnerGuide-based combined fuel figure as low as 6.4 L/100 km. Its separate 6.3 L/100 km statement is labelled a manufacturer estimate, so those two figures should not be presented as interchangeable certified ratings. Use the vehicle’s current EnerGuide label for its final city and highway numbers.

The manufacturer also advertises up to 800 km from a tank. That is a range reference rather than a promise: temperature, speed, towing, load and heating use affect actual fuel consumption and distance between fill-ups.

Interior, Seating and Cargo

Cherokee Limited seats five people in two rows. Its perforated Capri leatherette is synthetic upholstery. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and power adjustment for both front occupants form the main comfort equipment. The passenger seat has six-way power adjustment and two-way power lumbar support.

A 60/40 split rear seat expands the cargo area. Jeep’s design page lists approximately 951 litres behind the rear seats and 1,934 litres with them folded. The Limited’s power liftgate has adjustable opening height, useful where garage clearance is limited. Hands-free liftgate operation is included in the optional Tech Group.

Other Limited equipment includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror, universal garage door opener, security alarm and power folding heated exterior mirrors. A dual-pane panoramic sunroof is optional at $2,495; it is not included merely because the vehicle is a Limited.

Infotainment and Technology

Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, six speakers, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad. Smartphone projection lets a compatible phone supply navigation and media without requiring the factory navigation upgrade.

The $2,695 Tech Group adds Uconnect 5 NAV with GPS navigation, nine amplified speakers with a subwoofer, map information in the instrument display, traffic sign information and the hands-free power liftgate. Connected functions and Wi-Fi depend on compatible service and applicable subscription terms.

Jeep’s broader Cherokee technology page also shows available surround-view and digital rearview cameras. These should not be assumed to be standard Limited equipment: the Limited builder’s Tech Group list is focused on navigation, audio and liftgate upgrades.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The 2026 Cherokee includes standard Active Driving Assist, adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go, Full Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus with braking assistance, Active Lane Management, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection. These are assistance systems that require the driver’s attention and control.

Limited’s specification table also lists rear ParkSense sensors with Stop, front airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags and curtain airbags covering both rows. Rain-sensing wipers and LED lighting support visibility. The Trailer Tow Group adds trailer detection to the blind-spot system. A feature shown elsewhere in the range is not automatically fitted to every Limited.

Exterior and Wheels

Limited comes with 18-inch machined-face painted aluminum wheels and 225/60R18 all-season tires. The Canadian builder offers 20-inch machined-face wheels for $795. Its upright body, seven-slot grille and LED lighting retain recognizable Jeep design cues, while gloss-black mirror housings distinguish the Limited equipment package.

2026 Jeep Cherokee Limited Pricing

Jeep’s Ontario builder showed $52,390 CAD for a standard Limited in no-charge Bright White, with no additional options and sales tax excluded. The lineup’s displayed starting prices were $42,390 for Cherokee, $47,390 for Laredo, $52,390 for Limited, $53,890 for 85th Anniversary Edition and $56,390 for Overland.

The listed options add $1,495 for Trailer Tow Group, $2,695 for Tech Group and $2,495 for the panoramic roof. A Limited with those three selections would total $59,075 before other selections or applicable taxes. The $295 standalone compact spare is already included in Trailer Tow Group, so avoid counting it twice.

These are Canadian builder examples. The manufacturer’s displayed price treatment includes freight and relevant charges under its pricing terms; licensing, registration, insurance, applicable sales tax and any additional dealer items should be checked in the final itemized quotation.

Competition and Buying Considerations

Compare the Cherokee Limited with the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Honda CR-V Hybrid, Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, Kia Sportage Hybrid and Ford Escape Hybrid. The useful comparison is the actual Canadian trim: AWD, trailer equipment, heated seats, navigation, cargo space and the transaction price can differ substantially across these alternatives.

The Cherokee Limited makes the clearest case for someone who wants standard AWD, hybrid efficiency, useful cargo space and more convenience equipment than Laredo. If navigation, upgraded audio and a panoramic roof are priorities, compare an optioned Limited directly with Overland before choosing. For towing, price the Trailer Tow Group and verify the vehicle’s documentation alongside the headline rating.
