The 2025 Ram 1500 Sport pairs body-colour styling with the standard-output Hurricane engine and a well-equipped technology package. It sits between the more basic Ram configurations and the higher-priced luxury trims, making it a useful starting point if you want a Crew Cab pickup without moving straight to Limited or Tungsten.

Models available
Sport is a Canadian Crew Cab 4×4 configuration. The manufacturer lists the 5-foot-7-inch box as standard and the 6-foot-4-inch box as an option; Quad Cab is not available in this trim. A longer box changes overall parking requirements, so measure your garage and the loads you regularly carry before deciding. Canadian 2025 configuration matrix.
Rebel and Laramie are useful neighbouring comparisons. They share the standard-output engine but approach equipment differently. Buyers considering a Big Horn should compare the complete configuration, because its engine and cab choices can make a starting-price comparison misleading.
Engine and transmission
Ram specifies a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six producing 420 hp and 469 lb-ft of torque for the Canadian 2025 Sport, with an eight-speed automatic. The high-output 540-hp engine is listed for Limited/Longhorn and Tungsten instead. Ram Canada powertrain specifications.
The same specification sheet recommends premium 91-octane fuel for the standard-output engine. That wording is different from the high-output engine’s premium-required specification. Follow the owner’s manual for the individual truck rather than carrying fuel advice over from a different Ram engine or model year.
Towing and payload
A Class IV hitch appears in the Sport’s standard-equipment list, but that alone does not establish its towing limit. Cab, box, axle ratio, equipment and loading matter. Match the truck’s VIN and configuration to the manufacturer’s towing documentation, then check the door-label payload before adding passengers, tools and trailer tongue weight.
The Canadian feature matrix lists an integrated trailer brake controller as optional or package-dependent. Confirm it physically and on the build sheet if the trailer needs one. A hitch on the back is not proof that every towing feature is installed. Trailer-equipment availability.
Fuel economy
Natural Resources Canada’s 2025 data lists the standard-output Ram 1500 4×4 with its 3.0-litre engine at 14.0 L/100 km city, 9.8 highway and 12.1 combined. The high-output and RHO entries are different configurations and should not replace this figure. NRCan 2025 fuel-consumption data.
At 20,000 km per year, 12.1 L/100 km represents approximately 2,420 litres. Multiply that by your expected fuel price to build a budget. It is a standardized planning example, not a promise of real-world consumption; winter idling, short trips, loads and towing can change the result.
Interior and practicality
Heated seats and a heated steering wheel appear in the Canadian Sport standard-equipment guide. Ventilated leather seating, driver memory and a power passenger seat are identified in the Sport Level 1 group, so those upgrades should be checked rather than assumed. Canadian Sport equipment guide.
Infotainment and connectivity
The guide lists a 12-inch Uconnect 5 navigation screen, a 12-inch instrument display and nine-speaker audio as standard Sport content. Level 1 brings additional equipment including Harman Kardon audio, dual wireless charging and a passenger display. Inspect the actual option list when comparing inventory.
Safety and driver assistance
The Sport guide lists blind-spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision mitigation and pedestrian detection. Ask for a demonstration of the installed systems and consult the manual for their limitations. Driver assistance requires an attentive driver.
Pricing in CAD
Current Canadian manufacturer pricing for these exact 2025 trims has not been verified as of October 31, 2026, so vehicle prices and price differences are not quoted. The chart below compares equipment only.
| 2025 trim | What to compare |
|---|---|
| Sport | Body-colour grille and handles, black badging, 20-inch wheels and the standard-output Hurricane. |
| Rebel | Standard 3.92 axle and electronic-locking rear differential; both are optional on Sport. Same standard-output engine. |
| Laramie | Leather-bench catalogue configuration, reclining rear bench, rear power-sliding window and LED bed lighting; same standard-output engine. Larger screens and heated rear seats require Level 2. |
Check Ram Canada’s current model range before using a manufacturer price. Confirm the model year, cab, box, engine, included equipment and fee basis; do not substitute a later-model-year price for the 2025 Sport.
Competition and choosing a trim
Sport is worth comparing with an optioned Big Horn if the larger displays and appearance package are priorities. Check the total cost of Sport Level 1 against Laramie rather than assuming the next badge always provides better value. Paying more for Rebel or Laramie does not increase the standard-output engine’s rated horsepower.
Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 offer alternative pickup configurations. Compare the actual cab, box, powertrain, payload label and included equipment, not just a monthly payment. A test drive and an itemized quotation should settle the parts a walkaround cannot.
The Canadian equipment guide, page 24, separates Laramie’s standard reclining rear bench and bed lighting from Level 2’s 14.5-inch radio, passenger display and heated rear seats. That distinction matters more than assuming every higher trim includes every screen upgrade.
