The 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ Sport 1 AWD combines an electric all-wheel-drive powertrain with dark exterior detailing and a large curved display. It is the entry point to the Sport equipment ladder, so the important shopping question is which features already come with Sport 1 and which require a move to Sport 2 or Sport 3.
Watch our Canadian walkaround below, then compare the Sport trims and their equipment differences. The pricing table uses dealer catalog references for the 2025 model year rather than an as-tested total.

Models available
The Canadian 2025 lineup has Luxury 1, 2 and 3 alongside Sport 1, 2 and 3. Luxury favours bright chrome; Sport uses darker trim. Choosing Sport changes the look, while moving up a number adds equipment. Canadian 2025 feature guide, July 15, 2025.
Electric powertrain
The AWD version uses two electric motors, while rear-wheel drive uses one. AWD is a separate choice from the Sport styling and numbered equipment level, so the lowest advertised Sport 1 price may describe a different drivetrain.
Range and energy consumption
Natural Resources Canada lists the 2025 LYRIQ AWD with its 11.5-kW charger at 513 km of rated range and 23.6 kWh/100 km combined. City and highway energy ratings are 21.2 and 26.0 kWh/100 km respectively. The separate 19.2-kW AWD configuration is rated at 488 km and 24.7 kWh/100 km combined. Official 2025 Fuel Consumption Guide.
Actual distance between charges varies with weather, speed and driving conditions. For a regular long trip, allow a reserve and consider charging stops along the route. At 20,000 km a year, the combined rating represents about 4,720 kWh. At an illustrative $0.15 per kWh, that is $708 for electricity; your actual tariff, driving and public charging mix can change the total.
Charging at home and away
The Canadian Sport 1 catalog lists an 11.5-kW onboard charger and a dual-level charging cord. The onboard rating is a limit on AC intake, not a guarantee that an ordinary household outlet or every charging installation can provide that power. Canadian Sport 1 equipment catalog.
Before purchase, check your parking access and have a qualified electrician assess any proposed charging installation. For public charging, compare the locations you will actually use and their pricing structure. A convenient nearby charger can matter more in daily use than a peak charging number reached only under particular conditions.
Interior and practicality
Sport 1 includes heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and a fixed glass roof in the Canadian catalog. The standard roof brings light into the cabin without opening. The rear seat folds in a 60/40 split for carrying passengers and longer items together.
Sport 3 includes heated rear outboard seats and tri-zone climate control. The separate rear climate zone gives passengers more control over cabin temperature.
Infotainment and connectivity
The Canadian Sport 1 listing includes a 33-inch display, Google built-in, seven-speaker audio and wireless phone charging. Connected-service subscriptions and trial terms are worth including in the ownership budget.
Moving to Sport 2 adds a 19-speaker AKG audio system and a rear camera mirror in the Canadian tier guide. This makes the middle trim more relevant to buyers prioritizing cabin technology.
Safety and driver assistance
The Canadian Sport 1 catalog lists adaptive cruise control, surround-view cameras, blind-zone steering assistance and lane-keeping assistance. Driver aids require supervision and operate within the limits described in the owner’s manual.
For the 2025 lineup, Sport 2 adds Super Cruise capability, with a three-year trial listed in the Canadian guide. A used vehicle’s remaining trial and subscription status may differ.

Competition and choosing a trim
The $6,500 step to Sport 2 is the larger technology upgrade. The next $4,000 step to Sport 3 adds tri-zone climate control and 22-inch wheels. For a buyer who mostly travels alone and already likes the base cabin, Sport 1 avoids paying for upgrades that may see little use.

Frequently asked questions
Does Sport 1 have the same features as Sport 2?
No. Sport 2 is the main technology step, while Sport 3 adds tri-zone climate control and 22-inch wheels. The table above separates those upgrades.
Is the glass roof an opening sunroof?
No—the standard Sport 1 roof is fixed glass. A power-opening panoramic sunroof is listed separately as an option in the Canadian catalog.
Is 513 km a guaranteed driving distance?
No. It is the standardized Canadian rating for the listed AWD charging configuration, not a promise for every season, route or driving condition.
