The 2024 Ram 1500 Sport Night Edition is aimed at buyers who want the Canadian Sport model with a darker exterior treatment. The useful distinction is between the underlying Sport trim, the Night Edition appearance package and the separate options added to an individual truck. Keeping those three layers apart makes pricing much easier to understand.

Models available and engine
Sport sits within the Canadian Ram 1500 range rather than the separate Ram 1500 Classic lineup. The Canadian Sport specification uses a 5.7L HEMI V8, and Ram lists the eTorque version at 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft with an eight-speed automatic. Canadian Sport brochure; Engine specification.
The eTorque system should not be confused with a plug-in hybrid or an electric-driving mode. When reviewing a particular listing, confirm its engine and equipment codes rather than using another model year’s information. The 2025 engine lineup is not a substitute for the 2024 specification.
What Night Edition adds
For Sport, the Canadian brochure identifies 22-inch black-painted wheels and a gloss-black grille with a black surround. Night Edition is an appearance choice, not a TRX powertrain upgrade. 2024 Canadian Night Edition details.
Interior, screens and optional features
Sport’s standard cabin includes cloth/vinyl front buckets, heated front seats and steering wheel, power driver adjustment, a 12-inch instrument display and a separate 12-inch Uconnect 5 NAV touchscreen. The Night package changes appearance, while leather seating and other comfort groups remain separate. Canadian Sport equipment, page 25.
Cab, bed and towing checks
The Canadian configuration sheet offers Sport with both 5-foot-7-inch and 6-foot-4-inch Crew Cab boxes, with four-wheel drive. Cab and drivetrain availability. Those two bed lengths have different parking and cargo requirements; confirm the box on the individual listing.
Do not use the maximum towing claim for the entire Ram family as this truck’s capacity. Axle ratio, equipment and loading change the answer. Have the seller document the exact configuration, then account for passengers, cargo and trailer tongue weight. Bed accessories also consume payload, even when they make the truck more useful.
Fuel consumption
| 2024 1500 4×4 eTorque 5.7L | City | Highway | Combined |
|---|---|---|---|
| L/100 km | 13.4 | 10.5 | 12.1 |

Canadian trim comparison and pricing
Current Canadian manufacturer pricing for these exact 2024 Crew Cab short-box 4×4 configurations has not been verified as of October 31, 2026. The table compares equipment only; vehicle prices, fee amounts and price differences are omitted.
| 2024 model | What the choice prioritizes |
|---|---|
| Sport 5.7L | 20-inch wheels, heated front seats/wheel and 12-inch centre screen; Night Edition extra |
| Rebel 5.7L | Bilstein shocks, locking rear differential, skid plates and 18-inch all-terrain tires |
| TRX 6.2L supercharged | 702-hp supercharged V8, adaptive Bilstein dampers, 35-inch tires and wider track |
Consult Ram Canada for the current model range. Do not substitute a later model-year price for a 2024 truck, and match the engine, cab, box and optional equipment before comparing configurations.
A current manufacturer Night Edition package price has not been verified. Confirm the fitted appearance and comfort packages separately; the equipment table does not establish the price of the filmed Night Edition.
Competition and buying verdict
Compare similarly equipped F-150 and Silverado configurations if a road-focused V8 pickup is the goal. Within Ram, choose Sport Night Edition for the appearance you actually prefer, not because its name suggests TRX-level performance. If you mainly need extra off-road equipment, compare a Rebel before spending heavily on cosmetic options.
