Engine and four-wheel drive
The Canadian Limited two-row specification lists a 3.6-litre V6 rated at 293 hp and 260 lb-ft, an eight-speed automatic and Quadra-Trac I four-wheel drive. Do not substitute the separately listed 4xe plug-in powertrain. Jeep Canada’s 2023 equipment chart.
Interior and technology
Limited includes Capri vinyl seating, heated front and second-row seats, a heated steering wheel and a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 navigation touchscreen. Ventilated fronts and surround-view cameras belong to the optional Luxury Tech Group II; a panoramic roof is also optional. Canadian Limited equipment.
Overland makes a different step: Quadra-Lift air suspension, Nappa leather, ventilated front seats and a panoramic roof are included. Those are substantial differences from adding cosmetic trim to Limited. Canadian Overland equipment table.
The seating-material distinction matters when comparing advertisements that casually call every trim leather. Inspect the actual seats and test the functions you want. A feature-rich grade does not establish that every optional package was ordered.
Fuel economy
NRCan’s 2023 Grand Cherokee 4X4 3.6-litre rating is 12.3 L/100 km city, 9.2 highway and 10.9 combined on regular gasoline. This is the standard-length V6 entry, not the Grand Cherokee L or V8 rating. NRCan model-year data.
At 20,000 km a year, the combined figure represents 2,180 litres. Treat it as a planning calculation, not a promised result. Winter, short trips, traffic and loading can change actual consumption; include maintenance and insurance when comparing ownership budgets.
Canadian trim comparison
Historical Canadian MSRP from Unhaggle’s 2023 catalog, checked October 29, 2026. Its original effective date is unstated; freight, taxes, options and other charges are separate. All rows below concern the standard-length lineup, not L models or 4xe grades. Canadian historical catalog.
| Grade | Listed MSRP CAD | How to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Altitude | $59,545 | Black exterior treatment, Capri vinyl/suede seats, remote start, power liftgate and wireless charging |
| Limited | $63,545 | +$4,000: heated second row, Capri vinyl seats and 10.1-inch navigation screen |
| Overland | $72,445 | +$8,900: Quadra-Lift air suspension, Nappa leather, front ventilation and panoramic roof |
Which trim makes sense?
Limited is worth considering if its standard cabin equipment covers your needs. Price the exact optional features before moving higher in the range; a well-equipped Limited and a basic example of another grade are not the same comparison. Used condition and maintenance history can matter more than the original MSRP gap.
