The 2023 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid puts the buying decision around technology and comfort rather than simply choosing the most powerful badge. The Sport Hybrid is an important comparison: if the extra Touring features do not matter to you, the lower grade deserves a serious look.

Engine and hybrid system
Sport and Touring share a 2.0-litre two-motor hybrid system rated at 204 total horsepower. Honda quotes 247 lb-ft for the traction motor; do not add engine and motor output figures together. Honda Canada’s 2023 Accord launch information.
For a used-car comparison, start with the correct model year and hybrid grade. A different generation’s figures or a gas EX listing should not be treated as interchangeable. Ask for the vehicle identification number and complete service records before comparing advertised equipment.
Interior and technology
Both hybrids have a 12.3-inch centre touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Touring adds Google built-in, a six-inch head-up display, 12-speaker Bose audio, wireless charging, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. Canadian Touring equipment.
Passenger and luggage checks
Bring the people and items that define your usual journeys. Check rear-seat access with the front seats set for the actual drivers, then load your normal bags through the trunk opening. If you carry child seats, test installation and access rather than judging suitability from photographs or exterior dimensions.
Fuel economy
NRCan lists the 2023 Accord Hybrid Sport/Touring at 5.0 L/100 km city, 5.7 highway and 5.3 combined on regular gasoline. The shared entry matters: Touring does not receive a different published combined rating here. NRCan 2023 data.
At 20,000 km a year, the combined figure corresponds to 1,060 litres. That is a planning calculation, not a forecast for your commute. Use your own distance and fuel-price assumptions, then allow for winter, short trips and traffic. Fuel savings alone do not tell you whether the Touring equipment premium is worthwhile.
Canadian trim comparison
Original 2023 Canadian MSRP, checked October 29, 2026. The table excludes freight/PDI, taxes and other fees; Honda’s pricing sheet separately lists those charges by province. These are historical new-car figures, not current used values. Honda Canada’s 2023 pricing sheet.
| Grade | MSRP CAD | Difference and reason to consider |
|---|---|---|
| EX | $37,000 | Gas-powered alternative; not the same powertrain |
| Sport Hybrid | $41,000 | Hybrid system; $4,000 above EX |
| Touring Hybrid | $44,500 | $3,500 above Sport: Google built-in, HUD, Bose, wireless charging, front ventilation and heated rear seats |
Is Touring worth the extra money?
Choose Touring for features you can identify and will use, rather than assuming its badge guarantees a better used purchase. A cleaner Sport with documented maintenance may deserve preference over a poorly maintained Touring. Compare equivalent kilometres, accident history and tire condition before deciding what the equipment is worth.
