Here is the review of this All-New 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE! The Toyota 2024 Grand Highlander is a brand-new huge, midsize SUV with larger interior space than either the Toyota Highlander or Sequoia. The third row and cargo space of the seven- or eight-passenger Grand Highlander are comparable to or superior to those of the Chevrolet Traverse, Kia Telluride, or Volkswagen Atlas rival models.

In addition to Toyota’s reputation for dependability, the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander provides the ideal combination of amenities and tech options to win a spot on any family’s shopping list.

Safety

All Grand Highlander models come equipped with the most recent Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of enhanced safety and driving assistance technology. Pre-collision systems with pedestrian, daytime bicyclist, and motorcycle detection, intersection oncoming vehicle detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance with steering assistance, full-speed adaptive cruise control with lane-centering, traffic-sign recognition, automatic high beams, and an emergency stop system with driver monitor (if the driver becomes unresponsive) are some of the components. Blind-spot and rear cross-traffic monitoring devices are not included in TSS 3.0 but are also required.

The Platinum trim comes with a standard panoramic rear camera (replacing the standard backup camera) and traffic jam assist capability, which, when activated via a Drive Connect subscription, allows semi-autonomous, low-speed, hands-free driving on limited-access highways. These features are available on Limited and Platinum models.

It features a 12.3-inch touchscreen as standard, one of the largest in the market. The new system also features improved voice control, cordless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A six-speaker AM/FM/HD Radio stereo is included with the standard XLE trim; Limited and Platinum models can upgrade to a powerful 1,200-watt, 11-speaker JBL audio system. Toyota eliminated the rotary tuning knob but kept the volume control knob, and the main screen’s return button isn’t very distinct. The new system is simple to use overall, especially with the more sophisticated voice control.

Engine and Performance

In the category of large, midsize SUVs, the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander offers the broadest range of powertrain options. It generates a combined 245 horsepower using an electric motor and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.

The automaker’s Hybrid MAX is a brand-new arrangement that is also utilized in the new Toyota Crown car. The Hybrid MAX dubbed a performance hybrid, is only offered in Limited and Platinum trim levels.
