2023 Toyota Corolla Cross LE FWD

Here is the review of the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross LE FWD! The Toyota Corolla Cross combines all the greatest features of the venerable Corolla sedan with a stylish compact SUV form. The end result is a reasonably priced utility vehicle with lots of functionality, a smooth ride, and a wide range of basic safety features. The Corolla Cross sits underneath the well-known RAV4 SUV and is slightly smaller in most areas.

Although the Honda HR-V lacks a hybrid option, its handling is marginally more responsive. The Kia Niro Hybrid is less potent than the Corolla Cross Hybrid, but it is more enjoyable to drive and more fuel-efficient. The inside is nicer and there is a stronger engine choice in the Hyundai Kona. Similar technological options are available in the Nissan Kicks, although that vehicle performs less admirably.

Safety

Pre-collision technology with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-departure alert with steering assistance, lane-tracing assistance, road sign assistance, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, and automatic high beams are all included as standard safety features. Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, rear cross-traffic braking, and front and rear parking assistance with automated braking are all available options.

2023 Toyota Corolla Cross LE FWD

This year’s Toyota Corolla Cross is even more appealing to shoppers looking for a useful and effective compact SUV thanks to a new hybrid option. Its major flaws are its cramped rear seats and slow acceleration, but neither is out of the ordinary for the segment.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Two front USB ports and a 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are features of the base 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross model. A wireless charging pad, an 8-inch touchscreen, one front USB port, and two rear USB ports are standard on all other models. On the higher trims, a nine-speaker JBL audio system with a subwoofer is an option. With tuning and volume knobs, a row of buttons, and a touchscreen in the center, the device is simple to use. The arrangement is surrounded by glossy, black plastic trim that easily catches fingerprints.

The Kia Seltos offers an even larger touchscreen and an improved audio system as options. Although the Nissan Kicks also has improved audio, its standard configuration is less spectacular.

Engine and Performance

A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and a continuously variable automatic transmission power the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross. That’s not a lot of horsepower, but this is a little crossover rather than an enormous SUV. The 2.0-liter internal combustion engine has been adjusted to produce 150 hp, and the Corolla Cross Hybrid adds a 30-kilowatt (40 hp) electric motor positioned at the rear for a total peak output of 194 hp. The 25 horsepower increase over the non-hybrid Corolla Cross gives the driving experience a little more punch. The Hyundai Kona is slower with its base engine than the Corolla Cross but faster with the optional turbocharged engine. While slower than the Cross Hybrid, the Kia Niro Hybrid has better responsiveness. The Nissan Kicks has a single, weaker engine that makes driving less enjoyable.
