All-New 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT

Here is the review of the All-New 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT! One of the best options on the market for heavy-duty ¾ ton pickup trucks is the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. The Silverado 2500 can fulfill almost any heavy-duty use case because of its several trim levels, hundreds of configurations, extended cab, crew cab, and standard cab options.

The Silverado has become a considerably more appealing alternative when compared to the other ¾-ton options, which include the Ford F-250 Super Duty, Ram 2500, and the Chevy’s virtually identical twin, the GMC Sierra 2500HD. These modifications to the Silverado’s exterior and interior are for the 2024 model year. The rivalry is fierce in this small, exclusive club due to ongoing capability improvements and new features from all vendors.

Safety

The large pickup from Chevrolet comes equipped with a variety of driver assistance features, such as lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Silverado 2500 HD will be able to get adaptive cruise control for the first time starting in 2024. Additionally, Chevy offers a number of outside cameras that offer 15 distinct perspectives, including five views for parking, four views for the trailer hitch, and six views for driving. The Transparent Trailer vision, which enhances maneuverability by allowing the driver to literally see “through” the trailer to what’s behind it, is especially striking.

The Silverado 2500 HD is available from Chevrolet in a variety of trim levels, from the entry-level WT (work truck) to the opulent High Country. All trucks come equipped with a strong V8 engine that can satisfy the needs of the majority of customers, but for the best towing performance, Chevrolet provides the Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8, which, when properly equipped, can tow as much as 22,500 pounds.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The infotainment systems in the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD are straightforward and user-friendly. Both systems have touchscreens that are easy to use, simple graphics, and well-structured menus. The system has compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 7-inch touchscreen is included. The perfectly integrated 13.4-inch infotainment display, which is currently the largest in the market, is now a standard feature on higher model levels. With separate climate settings and a physical volume knob, the large screen is clear and simple to manage. A top-of-the-line Bose music system, Wi-Fi, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also featured. There is a wireless phone charger accessible.

Towing and Capacity

The 2024 Silverado 2500HD makes hauling and towing pleasurable and stress-free. The Chevrolet can carry heavy goods with ease thanks to its 3,689-pound payload capability. The rear bumper and strategically positioned side stairs in the bedsides make it simple to load and unload cargo. There are 12 tie-downs on the bed as well. There is an available spray-on bedliner, a built-in 120-volt outlet, and LED cargo area illumination.

The typical towing capacity of gas V8 trucks is 16,000 pounds. The Chevy’s diesel engine allows it to tow trailers up to 20,000 pounds in weight. These figures increase to 18,700 pounds with a gas engine and 22,070 pounds with a diesel engine when towing a fifth-wheel gooseneck trailer. The Silverado can now haul more than the Ram 2500, whose maximum towing capacity is 20,000 pounds, thanks to these upgraded capabilities. But the Ford Super Duty F-250 diesel, which can tow trailers weighing 23,000 pounds, deserves the title of champion.

Engine and Performance

The strong 6.6-liter V8 standard in the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. That is 35 lb-ft greater torque than the 6.4-liter V8 in the Ram 2500 and only 11 lb-ft less than the optional 7.3-liter gas V8 in the Ford Super Duty F-250. The large truck’s engine from the Chevy is polished and smooth, and it also produces a fantastic V8 symphony as it travels down the road.
