2023 Honda Passport Trailsport

Here is the review of this 2023 Honda Passport Trailsport! Combine the greatest features of Honda’s most popular SUV crossovers, the three-row Honda Pilot and the small Honda CR-V, into a midsize vehicle with a little bit more off-road potential than either. The Pilot touches are evident: a strong V6 engine, a spacious cabin, easy-to-use technology, and a sizable cargo area. The agile steering and responsive handling are more overt CR-V influences. The Passport also comes equipped with a comprehensive entertainment system and a wealth of driver safety features that are found in almost every current Honda model.

Although it falls short of the Nissan Murano, it is comparable to V6-powered rivals like the Chevrolet Blazer, Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport, and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Only rivals who use four-cylinder turbocharged engines can clearly outperform them in terms of fuel efficiency. But none can compare to the Passport’s silky V6 pull or enormous cabin spaciousness, which elevate it to the top of the midsize all-arounder list.

Safety

The Honda Sensing suite of safety and driving assistance systems is included in all Passport variants. This features blind-spot and rear cross-traffic alert systems in addition to forward-collision warning with braking help, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, road departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. All Passports also include automatic high beams, a rear-seat reminder system, and a multi-angle rearview camera to assess the passengers’ seatbelt usage.

Whether you need to transport a small family or lead an active lifestyle, the Honda Passport works. It has the greatest cargo space you’ll find short of a three-row SUV and is spacious, adaptable, and filled with technology.

Infotainment and Connectivity

With larger touchscreens and more complex voice commands, some midsize crossovers, like the Hyundai Santa Fe, Toyota Venza, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Subaru Outback, provide more sophisticated infotainment than the 2023 Honda Passport.

However, the Passport system is user-friendly and uncomplicated; it has an 8-inch touchscreen with colour and high resolution, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. In higher models, you get navigation and Wi-Fi hotspot functionality.

Engine and Performance

A fast nine-speed automated transmission and a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 280 horsepower are standard on the 2023 Honda Passport. The Passport, along with the Hyundai Santa Fe 2.5-liter turbo and the V6-powered Chevrolet Blazer, are among the fastest and most potent crossovers in their class.

Trims and Pricing

The Honda Passport has three trims to pick from. This includes the Sport, Trailsport, and Touring.

Sport Trim

The Sport trim starts from about $49,200 CDN. It has wireless phone charging, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 20-inch wheels, LED headlights, a power-operated liftgate, a sunroof, three-zone temperature control, leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated front seats, and a seven-speaker audio system. Forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and front and rear parking sensors are just a few of the outstanding driver aids that come standard.

Trailsport Trim

The Trailsport trim starts from about $53,200 CDN. With wide-tread tires, the TrailSport sports a more rugged exterior appearance and a 0.4-inch wider stance. The TrailSport includes LED fog lights, black roof rails, power-folding side mirrors, heated windshield wipers, leather seats with orange stitching and TrailSport logos, amber ambient interior lighting, navigation, rear-seat sunshades, a 115-volt AC outlet, and all-weather floor mats.

Touring Trim

The Touring trim starts from about $55,900 CDN. A hands-free power liftgate, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a premium 10-speaker audio system with a subwoofer are all added on to the Touring model.
