2023 Toyota Tundra Capstone Crewmax Hybrid

Here is the review of this 2023 Toyota Tundra Capstone Crewmax Hybrid! The Toyota Tundra debuted with a host of improvements last year. The addition of a hybrid powertrain, improved electronics, and a reworked suspension system that provides a significantly better ride are the most prominent modifications. The interior of the Tundra was also upgraded to match the standards provided by rivals. For those who desire a little luxury in their powerful truck, a new top-of-the-line Capstone trim offers a fully refined experience. Seven trims, Double or CrewMax cabs, three-bed lengths, and a choice between rear- or four-wheel drive is now available in the lineup.

While the Tundra’s many variants can handle anything from work to family pleasure, rivals also offer a wide range of options. With more trims and engine choices than any other vehicle in its class, the Ram 1500 has the smoothest ride. The Ford F-150 boasts the highest payload and towing capacities on the market. The cabin of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is less appealing yet it has more engines and trims.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The 2023 Tundra comes with an 8-inch touchscreen, a six- or nine-speaker audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, three USB ports, AM/FM/SiriusXM, navigation, and Wi-Fi connectivity as standard features for infotainment. A 14-inch touchscreen, a high-end 12-speaker JBL audio system, wireless charging, and five USB ports are available extras. The Toyota infotainment system, which made its debut in the 2022 Tundra, is currently in its most recent iteration. It has quick processing rates, high-resolution screens with pinch and zoom functionality, and is intuitive and simple to use. Natural language commands rather than specific words or phrases are accepted by its voice control. To encourage conversation among passengers, speakers, and two microphones are connected up front.

The Toyota Tundra was completely redesigned last year and gained many improvements, such as a hybrid engine that is an option, enhanced suspension, and a much better infotainment system. Although it lacks the variety of configurations and engine options provided by rivals, this full-size pickup truck is nevertheless an appealing alternative.

Engine and Performance

The Toyota Tundra’s base engine is a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6. It has a 348 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque rating in the base SR variant. The same engine is rated at 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque in all other grades. The brand-new 10-speed automatic transmission that smoothly distributes power is matched with both models. The Tundra has enough power, even when accelerating quickly or when it is burdened by a payload or trailer. The hybrid version of the regular engine is the sole available drivetrain. The hybrid configuration offers 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque thanks to the addition of an electric motor. The additional power makes merging into freeway traffic simple. When towing a big trailer, the added power makes it simpler to accelerate and ascend steep inclines.

Towing and Capacity

The 2023 Toyota Tundra has a maximum payload of 1,940 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 12,000 pounds. Two tow/haul modes are among the many capabilities that are available to make towing simpler. For lesser loads, the regular mode modulates the throttle response; for heavier loads, such as RVs, the Tow/Haul+ mode does the same. New multi-view cameras, power-extending and power-folding tow mirrors, and an optional air suspension system for rear load-leveling round out the list of features.
