2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Execline

The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Execline is the upper Canadian grade of the five-seat Cross Sport. It combines the V6 powertrain with R-Line styling and additional parking technology, but it should not be confused with the three-row Atlas or the later turbo-only refreshed model.

Models available

The Canadian range includes Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Execline R-Line. Execline uses the 3.6-litre V6 and 4MOTION AWD; lower grades also offered a 2.0-litre turbo engine. Canadian 2023 configuration table.

Engine and transmission

The V6 is rated at 276 hp and 266 lb-ft, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Do not substitute the newer model’s turbocharged powertrain figures. Volkswagen Canada 2023 buyer’s guide.

Fuel economy

NRCan lists the 3.6-litre Atlas Cross Sport 4MOTION at 13.1 L/100 km city, 10.0 highway and 11.7 combined. The 2.0-litre AWD entry is 10.9 combined. At 20,000 km, the V6 rating represents approximately 2,340 litres. NRCan configuration-specific ratings.

Compare that estimate with your annual distance and fuel price. It is not a guarantee of actual consumption, and towing or heavy urban use can change it. A lower-trim four-cylinder’s rating should not be used to budget for this V6.

Interior and practicality

Cross Sport has five seats, not the ordinary Atlas’s third row. Highline already supplies leather seating, front ventilation, heated outer rear seats and a panoramic sunroof, which Execline builds upon. Canadian equipment guide.

Infotainment and convenience

The equipment ladder includes an 8-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro and wireless phone integration. Highline already adds Fender audio and navigation. Execline’s premium is therefore not simply the cost of obtaining those features. 2023 multimedia equipment.

Parking assistance and towing

Execline adds Area View 360-degree cameras, Park Assist and 21-inch R-Line wheels. V6 towing equipment is rated up to 5,000 lb, subject to proper configuration and loading; the guide excludes the mount and ball. Verify the actual equipment before towing. Canadian Execline and towing details.

Choosing a trim

Highline is the key comparison if the comfortable cabin and audio equipment matter most. Execline is easier to justify when its camera and parking features, wheel treatment and styling are valuable to you. Confirm there were no equipment deletions before valuing those upgrades.

Does Cross Sport have a third row?

No. It is the five-seat body style. Shop the ordinary Atlas separately if you need a third row.
