The 2023 Ford F-150 Limited is not simply a Platinum with another badge. Its Canadian specification pairs the PowerBoost hybrid powertrain with a substantial collection of comfort and convenience equipment. The buying question is whether that complete package fits your needs better than a less expensive F-150 configured around the features you actually want.
Our 2023 Limited video is below. This is the PowerBoost gasoline-electric hybrid F-150, not the all-electric Lightning.

Standard hybrid powertrain
Ford Canada’s 2023 guide identifies the 3.5L PowerBoost full-hybrid V6 and hybrid ten-speed automatic for Limited, with a two-speed automatic four-wheel-drive system. Canadian Limited specification.
Westview Ford’s 2023 Limited specification lists 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft. These are combined powertrain figures; do not add an electric-motor horsepower number to them again. Canadian Limited powertrain reference.
PowerBoost is not a plug-in hybrid and does not turn this truck into a Lightning. The practical comparison is with other gasoline and hybrid pickups. If you want a charging-based ownership routine or an all-electric driving-range figure, you are considering a different model.
Equipment that distinguishes Limited
The Canadian guide lists continuously controlled damping, 22-inch wheels, a twin-panel moonroof and 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard. It also specifies Admiral Blue interior trim. These differences help explain why Limited should be compared as a complete configuration rather than just a higher trim price. Canadian Limited equipment.
Cabin checks and equipment removals
The 2023 Canadian guide includes multi-contour-seat and Active Park Assist removal notes. Do not assume massage seating or automated parking solely from an older brochure-style list. Factory removal notes.
During a viewing, operate the comfort functions individually and check that the equipment matches the seller’s description. Ask about connected-service status and any charges separately. A truck can retain its physical cameras and sensors after a service trial has expired, so hardware and subscription status are different questions.
Using the truck and its outlets
Assess the cab and bed with your actual routine in mind. Check passenger access, the space needed for child seats, the working area around the tailgate and the storage left after any accessories are installed. Luxury equipment is worthwhile only if the underlying truck layout suits the job.
For onboard power, work from the owner’s manual and the ratings of the equipment being connected. The total advertised output is not a promise that every individual outlet can supply that amount. Plan how power will be used and confirm operating conditions rather than improvising an installation.
Canadian fuel consumption
| 2023 F-150 Hybrid 4×4 | City | Highway | Combined |
|---|---|---|---|
| L/100 km | 10.5 | 10.4 | 10.4 |
Source: NRCan 2023 dataset. This is a standardized hybrid rating. At 20,000 km annually, 10.4 L/100 km represents approximately 2,080 litres; actual driving, weather and towing can change the result.
Do not use that fuel figure as evidence of a particular trailer range. For towing, confirm the exact vehicle’s capacity, hitch equipment and payload label, accounting for passengers and cargo. The most luxurious configuration is not automatically the one with the highest useful payload.
Canadian trim comparison and pricing
Historical 2023 Canadian base references checked October 29, 2026. All rows use 4WD SuperCrew trucks with 5.5-foot beds. Freight of $2,295 is separate; options, applicable taxes, licensing and dealer charges are additional. Original price-effective dates are not stated. These are not current offers or the price of the video vehicle.
| Trim | CAD base reference | Difference from Limited | What to compare |
|---|---|---|---|
| King Ranch | $89,465 | Save $16,820 | Mesa leather, heated rear seats and 18-speaker B&O; more engine choices than Limited |
| Platinum | $92,415 | Save $13,870 | 20-inch polished wheels, power running boards and power tailgate; engine choices remain |
| Limited | $106,285 | Reference | Standard PowerBoost hybrid, 22-inch wheels, continuously controlled damping and 7.2-kW onboard power |

Buying verdict
Limited makes the strongest case when you want the hybrid, its particular cabin and the major convenience features together. If only one or two items appeal, a carefully configured lower trim may be the more focused choice. Inspect the actual truck and its build information before assuming that the flagship badge guarantees every advertised feature.
