Engine choices and configuration
The Canadian 2023 order guide lists Platinum in 4×4 SuperCrew form, with V8, EcoBoost and PowerBoost configurations. Ford Canada’s 2023 configuration guide.
Platinum equipment highlights
Ford’s Canadian guide lists 20-inch polished wheels, heated rear seats, power-deployable running boards and a power tailgate for Platinum. It also identifies heated and ventilated leather front seating, with an explicit multi-contour-seat removal note. Canadian Platinum equipment.
That removal detail matters when assessing a used vehicle. A generic list may still mention multi-contour seating, but it is not proof that massage functionality is present. Test the functions you are paying for and keep a copy of the build sheet or window sticker with the vehicle records.
Space and practical capability
For towing, use the certification labels and the correct configuration-specific documentation. The maximum advertised for the F-150 family is not automatically the limit of a Platinum. Passengers, accessories, luggage and hitch load all belong in the payload calculation.

Buying verdict
Platinum is worth comparing directly with King Ranch if you want a premium F-150 but prefer its styling. Limited deserves attention only if its different standard configuration and extra equipment solve a real need. On a used purchase, condition and confirmed equipment can matter more than the original price hierarchy.
