The 2023 Ford F-150 King Ranch combines Mesa leather seating, heated rear seats, power-deployable running boards and an 18-speaker B&O system. It is a cabin-focused step above Lariat, but the extra comfort does not decide which engine or bed length suits your towing and cargo needs.
Our 2023 King Ranch video accompanies this guide to its Canadian equipment, powertrain choices and pricing.

Powertrain and configuration
Ford Canada lists King Ranch as a 4×4 SuperCrew with 5.5- or 6.5-foot beds. The 2023 guide offers a 5.0L V8, 3.5L EcoBoost and 3.5L PowerBoost hybrid. Canadian configuration guide.
That means the King Ranch badge does not tell you which powertrain you are buying. Compare the window sticker with the seller’s description. If the truck will tow, ask for the configuration-specific limits rather than using the maximum advertised for the entire F-150 range.
What makes King Ranch different
The Canadian guide identifies Mesa leather seating, heated rear seats, power-deployable running boards and an 18-speaker B&O system. It also flags a required multi-contour-seat removal: do not assume massage functionality from a generic equipment list. King Ranch equipment and deletion note.
Passenger space and truck practicality
Also measure the parking spaces you use most often. The longer bed can be useful, but it changes the space required. If a trailer is part of the plan, account for people, luggage, accessories and hitch load when reviewing the payload label. Cabin luxury does not remove those limits.

Canadian trim comparison and pricing
Historical 2023 Canadian base prices checked October 29, 2026. The table matches 4WD SuperCrew body style and 6.5-foot bed, but not every engine or option. Freight of $2,295 is separate, as are options, taxes, licensing and other charges. The catalogue’s original price-effective date is not stated; these are not present-day offers.
| Trim | CAD base reference | Difference from King Ranch | Buying focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lariat | $77,325 | Save $12,140 | Heated/ventilated leather front seating, 12-inch SYNC 4 and eight-speaker B&O audio |
| King Ranch | $89,465 | Reference | Mesa leather, heated rear seats, power running boards and 18-speaker B&O audio |
| Platinum | $92,715 | Add $3,250 | 20-inch polished wheels, power tailgate and heated/ventilated leather seating |
Sources: Unhaggle and CarCostCanada. The gaps compare starting configurations; they are not a quotation for upgrading an identically optioned truck.
The $12,140 reference gap to Lariat is substantial enough to justify a direct comparison. If you mainly want comfortable seats and a modern screen, Lariat deserves a close look. If the King Ranch cabin is the attraction, compare its actual condition and installed features rather than paying for a badge alone.
Buying verdict and common questions
Is King Ranch the right upgrade?
It makes the most sense when its particular interior and convenience features are what you want. It is not a substitute for selecting the right mechanical configuration.
Does every King Ranch have massage seats?
Do not assume so. The Canadian 2023 order guide explicitly contains a multi-contour-seat removal note; verify the truck itself.
