2023 Honda Pilot Touring

The 2023 Honda Pilot Touring combines the redesigned Pilot’s three-row layout with additional convenience and cabin technology. The removable second-row middle seat is a particularly useful reason to inspect this trim: it lets the seating arrangement change without leaving that seat at home.

Models available

Canada’s 2023 range includes Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring and Black Edition, all with AWD. Touring is the equipment-focused step above EX-L; TrailSport takes a different approach with off-road-oriented hardware rather than being a simple comfort upgrade. Honda Canada launch overview.

Engine and transmission

The 3.5-litre V6 produces 285 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and Honda’s second-generation i-VTM4 AWD. Regular gasoline is specified. Canadian 2023 specification sheet.

Fuel economy

Use the Touring-specific rating: 12.7 L/100 km city, 9.4 highway and 11.2 combined. The lower 11.0 combined entry belongs to other Pilot configurations, while TrailSport is different again. NRCan ratings.

At 20,000 km, 11.2 L/100 km represents approximately 2,240 litres. Multiply by your expected fuel price to build a budget, allowing for winter idling, short trips and towing. This is a standardized planning calculation, not a promise of what your household will achieve.

Interior and practicality

Touring seats up to eight. Its removable second-row centre seat can be stored underneath the rear cargo floor, and the trim adds ventilated front seats. Those features are also included on Black Edition. Canadian Touring seating details.

Try removing, carrying and storing the centre seat yourself. Also check how that storage space interacts with the luggage you normally carry. The flexibility is valuable only if changing the arrangement is convenient for the people who will actually do it.

Infotainment and connectivity

Touring includes a 9-inch touchscreen, wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation and 12-speaker Bose audio. A 10.2-inch instrument display is separate from the central touchscreen. Canadian multimedia matrix.

Safety and towing

Honda Sensing, blind-spot information and rear cross-traffic monitoring are listed across the range. Touring adds a multi-view camera system. Towing requires the appropriate accessory package; Honda lists capacity as 1,588 kg or available 2,268 kg depending on equipment. Do not assume every Touring is ready for the higher rating. Canadian safety and towing specifications.

Check the installed hitch, wiring, build information and manual, then account for passengers, luggage and trailer tongue weight. A seller’s statement that it has a tow hitch does not by itself establish the complete towing configuration.

Pricing in CAD

The following Canadian launch MSRPs were published December 1, 2022 and checked October 29, 2026. Freight/PDI of $1,950 was extra, as were taxes, registration, accessories and other applicable charges. These are historical new-car figures, not current used values.

Choosing a trim

Touring is most compelling when the flexible seating and upgraded technology solve specific needs. EX-L deserves a direct comparison if those extras are less important. TrailSport should be assessed for its different intended use, not assumed to provide everything Touring offers for less.

Is the Canadian Touring front-wheel drive?

No. The Canadian 2023 range uses AWD. U.S. pricing and drivetrain combinations should not be substituted into a Canadian comparison.
