2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation: Features & Canadian Pricing

The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation is worth a close look if you want its appearance and equipment without moving to the higher Sierra grades. The name alone is not enough to compare prices: cab, box, drivetrain, engine and packages must be identified first.

Models and configuration

The equipment comparison below uses Double Cab, standard-box, two-wheel-drive configurations. It must not be presented as a Crew Cab 4WD comparison or a verified quote for the filmed truck.

If you need a Crew Cab or four-wheel drive, request matching quotes for both trims. Comparing the lowest advertised prices across the range can hide major configuration changes instead of showing what the trim upgrade actually costs.

Engine and transmission

The reference Elevation uses a 2.7-litre TurboMax four-cylinder with 310 hp and 430 lb-ft, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Canadian dealer powertrain specification.

A separate Canadian 2024 listing documents an Elevation with the optional 5.3-litre V8 and ten-speed automatic. That example illustrates why the engine should be checked individually, not inferred from the Elevation badge. Canadian V8 Elevation example.

Interior and exterior equipment

The Canadian 2024 Elevation 4WD equipment reference lists a 13.4-inch infotainment system with Google built-in, a split front bench and 20-inch black wheels. This is a 4WD reference, not the 2WD configuration shown in the equipment table below.

Elevation’s grille uses a body-colour appearance with black mesh inserts. Canadian 2024 styling description. Appearance preferences are personal; compare the exact paint, wheels and accessories of the trucks you are considering rather than assuming every example matches a promotional image.

Check the seating arrangement in person, especially if you need a particular passenger count or centre-console layout. Pair your phone and test the controls. A trim name does not establish whether the actual truck has all the comfort or camera upgrades shown elsewhere in the lineup.

Fuel economy

NRCan distinguishes 2WD and 4WD TurboMax Sierra configurations. The rows below are references for the ordinary 2.7-litre automatic versions; separate Sport Mode and mud-terrain entries also exist. Confirm the applicable configuration rather than selecting the lowest figure. NRCan 2024 dataset.

At an illustrative 20,000 km annually, those combined values represent 2,400 and 2,580 litres respectively. These are calculations from published standardized ratings. Weather, loading and towing can alter results.

Towing and payload

The Canadian 2WD catalogue reference lists a tow hitch and locking rear differential. Canadian 2WD equipment reference. Do not turn that equipment list into a universal tow or payload rating: use the individual truck’s labels and documentation.

A full passenger cabin, tools in the box and trailer tongue weight all draw on the available load capacity. Work out the combined load you expect to carry before deciding that an engine or trim meets the job.

Canadian trim comparison

Current Canadian manufacturer pricing for these exact 2024 configurations has not been verified as of October 31, 2026. Vehicle prices and price differences are omitted; the table compares equipment only. Both rows use Double Cab Standard Box 2WD TurboMax configurations.

Equipment comparison: Greg Gardner GM’s Canadian 2024 trim guide, published June 3, 2024. These are selected equipment highlights, not a complete list of standard features or options.

This is an SLE-to-Elevation equipment comparison, not a quote for the reviewed truck. If your preferred cab, drivetrain or engine differs, compare both trims in that configuration before judging an upgrade.

Who should compare Elevation?

Elevation is worth considering when its equipment and appearance suit your priorities, but avoid paying for options simply because another truck in the video has them. For used vehicles, compare condition, service history and any modifications alongside the original trim level.
