2024 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid

The 2024 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid is the Canadian Accord’s equipment-focused hybrid choice. Its closest comparison is Sport Hybrid: the two share the published hybrid output and fuel rating, so the Touring premium should be judged mainly by the comfort and technology it adds.

Models available

Honda Canada lists EX, Sport Hybrid and Touring Hybrid. EX uses the 1.5-litre turbo engine; the two hybrid trims use the 2.0-litre hybrid system. All three are front-wheel drive. Honda Canada 2024 specification matrix.

Hybrid powertrain

Sport Hybrid and Touring Hybrid are rated at 204 hp combined and use Honda’s E-CVT. Do not add the separately listed engine and electric-motor horsepower figures together to calculate a different total. This is a conventional hybrid, not a plug-in model requiring a home charger. Canadian powertrain specifications.

Fuel economy

NRCan lists Sport/Touring Hybrid together at 5.0 L/100 km city, 5.7 highway and 5.3 combined. The non-hybrid Accord is rated at 7.3 combined. Touring therefore does not carry a separate fuel-economy advantage over Sport Hybrid. NRCan 2024 Fuel Consumption Guide.

At 20,000 km annually, 5.3 L/100 km corresponds to about 1,060 litres, versus 1,460 litres at 7.3. That is a 400-litre planning difference before applying your fuel price. It does not establish a guaranteed ownership saving: purchase price, driving conditions and distance still matter.

Interior and practicality

Touring adds perforated leather-trimmed seating and ventilated front seats; Sport uses fabric. Both hybrids have a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and 19-inch wheels. The Touring also adds a head-up display and front/rear parking sensors. 2024 comfort equipment.

Try the seating position and ventilation before deciding how valuable those upgrades are to you. A feature can be useful without making the entire car a better fit. If you carry rear passengers regularly, set the front seats first, then check rear knee room, entry and headroom with the people who actually travel with you.

For cargo, test the trunk opening with the items you carry rather than relying only on its volume. A sedan can hold plenty of bags while still being less convenient for a tall or awkward object than a hatchback. Check how the rear seat folds and whether the resulting opening suits your needs.

Infotainment and connectivity

Both hybrids have a 12.3-inch touchscreen and wired/wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Touring upgrades to 12-speaker Bose audio and adds Google built-in. Honda Canada technology matrix.

Safety and driver assistance

Ask the seller to demonstrate the installed assistance systems and explain their limits. Parking sensors can help with proximity, but they do not remove the need to look around the car. Likewise, driver-assistance branding should not be interpreted as autonomous driving or a guarantee that every hazard will be detected.

Recall checks: Ask Honda to check the VIN and repair history. Transport Canada recall 2024606 includes certain 2024 Accords whose high-pressure fuel pump can crack and leak, creating a fire risk. Dealers inspect and replace the pump if needed. For affected vehicles, Honda Canada’s Q21 letter advises stopping safely, switching off the engine and contacting a Honda dealer if fuel leaks or a fuel smell comes from the engine compartment.

Two other campaigns include certain 2024 Accord Hybrids. Recall 2025625 addresses software that can reset the integrated control module and interrupt drive power; the dealer updates its software. Under recall 2026274, an incorrectly attached tire-kit nozzle can allow pressure to eject the sealant-bottle cap. The dealer replaces the nozzle and any previously used sealant bottle. These notices do not establish that the vehicle in our video is affected; confirm each campaign by VIN.

Choosing a trim

Sport Hybrid is the direct comparison if your main objective is the hybrid powertrain and its fuel rating. Touring is worth considering if you specifically want its seat materials, ventilation, audio and displays. The distinction is equipment, not a higher published combined output.

When comparing used examples, condition can outweigh the original trim gap. Review service records, inspect tire condition and have the vehicle checked independently. Do not assume that a top trim with a higher original price is automatically the better purchase at any mileage or condition.

Is the Touring Hybrid all-wheel drive?

No. The Canadian 2024 Accord matrix lists front-wheel drive.

Does Touring use less fuel than Sport Hybrid?

Not according to the published Canadian combined rating: NRCan groups both at 5.3 L/100 km.
