The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV 4WT puts the emphasis on electric driving range and work-truck functionality. It should not be confused with the more extensively equipped RST First Edition: the same Silverado EV name does not mean the two versions have the same suspension, cabin or cargo-opening features.

The useful Work Truck comparison is 3WT versus 4WT. The higher-numbered package is associated with the longer published range; it does not turn the truck into an RST. A Canadian GM order document identifies 4WT as the 24-module Work Truck equipment group. Canadian 2024 order documentation.
Electric powertrain
Chevrolet Canada describes the WT with up to 510 hp and 615 lb-ft from its electric drivetrain. Canadian Work Truck specification. It is a battery-electric truck, not a gasoline Silverado with a mild-hybrid accessory system.
Choose it around a workable charging plan rather than around horsepower alone. Identify where it will park, how much energy the usual day requires and what happens when the normal charging location is unavailable. A truck that returns to a predictable base has different planning needs from one making unfamiliar trips every day.
Range and energy consumption
Natural Resources Canada’s 2024 guide lists 724 km for 4WT versus 632 km for 3WT. Combined energy consumption is 33.2 kWh/100 km for 4WT and 31.4 for 3WT. These standardized figures do not promise the same distance while towing, in winter or at every highway speed. 2024 Canadian electric-vehicle ratings.
The difference is 92 km in the published range ratings. That is useful for comparing versions on the same test basis, but it is not a guaranteed additional 92 km on every journey. Leave a reserve and plan charging stops around actual conditions rather than scheduling arrival at an empty battery.
For a simple energy-cost illustration, 33.2 kWh/100 km at $0.15/kWh equals about $4.98 per 100 km on that rating basis. Public charging prices, billing methods and actual consumption can make the cost different. This is arithmetic, not a charging bill measured during the review.
Charging
Chevrolet’s Canadian announcement lists DC charging capability up to 350 kW and a conditional estimate of 160 km added in ten minutes. Manufacturer charging claims and conditions. Neither figure means the truck holds maximum power throughout a session or completes a full charge in ten minutes.
Cabin and work equipment
A Canadian 2024 4WT order record lists vinyl trim, an 11-inch-class infotainment display, adaptive cruise control, HD Surround Vision and an integrated trailer-brake controller. It also includes a spray-in bedliner and wheel locks on that particular order. Canadian configuration example. The bedliner and wheel locks on that order should not be treated as universal standard equipment.
Towing and cargo checks
Use the exact vehicle’s towing documentation and loading labels to establish its limits. Work Truck capacities vary by equipment group, so use the rating for the exact 3WT or 4WT configuration.
Likewise, RST advertising for the Multi-Flex Midgate, four-wheel steering or adaptive air suspension should not be read as a 4WT equipment list. Chevrolet identifies those features with the RST presentation. Canadian RST equipment description. Check the actual tailgate and bed arrangement rather than assuming a Midgate is fitted.
Canadian trim comparison and pricing
The following are historical Canadian vehicle MSRPs listed by Unhaggle’s 2024 model catalogue, checked October 29, 2026—not a live manufacturer quote or the reviewed truck’s sticker. Freight, taxes, fees, options and incentives are excluded from this comparison.
| 2024 Work Truck | Catalogue MSRP (CAD) | Difference from 4WT | Canadian rated range |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3WT e4WD Crew Cab | $74,699 | −$5,800 | 632 km |
| 4WT e4WD Crew Cab | $80,499 | Reference | 724 km |
Price source: Canadian 2024 historical catalogue. Range source: NRCan 2024 guide. The price premium is $5,800 for this catalogue comparison; it is not an assertion that range is the only equipment difference.
When comparing used examples, mileage, remaining coverage, condition and actual fitted equipment can outweigh the original trim-price gap. Ask for an itemized offer and a battery-health assessment rather than applying the original MSRP difference directly to today’s asking prices.
