The 2024 Honda Prologue Touring sits at the top of the Canadian Prologue range. Its premium over EX-L buys equipment rather than a more powerful drivetrain, so the useful question is whether its additional comfort and visibility features justify the price for your daily use.

Canada received EX, EX-L and Touring, all with dual-motor AWD. Touring is the highest of those Canadian equipment levels. An advertisement for a U.S. Touring should not be used as the specification sheet for a Canadian Touring. Honda Canada’s 2024 lineup.
Electric powertrain
Honda rates the 2024 AWD system at 288 hp and 333 lb-ft across all three trims. Moving from EX-L to Touring does not change those outputs. Canadian 2024 powertrain announcement.
That makes the trim decision separate from the powertrain decision. Judge the additional equipment against what you will actually use, and arrange a test drive to assess response, visibility and comfort for yourself rather than inferring those qualities from the horsepower number.
Range and charging
Honda Canada lists 439 km of full-charge range for Touring, compared with 452 km for EX and EX-L, using the EPA-based ratings identified in its announcement. The 452-km headline should not be assigned to the Touring. The battery capacity is 85 kWh. Canadian range and battery reference.
Those comparison figures do not establish winter highway range. Plan with charging stops and reserve capacity, especially when temperature, speed or passenger load differs from the test conditions. For a used example, inspect battery-related service history and have the remaining coverage confirmed by VIN.
Honda lists DC charging up to 150 kW. Actual charging depends on the station, battery state and temperature; peak power is not the average for a whole session. Honda’s charging capability and limitations.
Before choosing an EV, establish whether dependable charging exists where you park. A vehicle’s charging capability, a portable cord and the electrical circuit are different limits. Obtain an installation assessment instead of assuming any existing outlet will provide the fastest home charge. If public charging is your main option, budget using those station prices rather than household electricity rates.
Touring equipment and interior
Touring adds ventilated front seats, a head-up display, surround-view camera and 21-inch wheels. EX-L already includes leather seats, a panoramic moonroof, hands-free power tailgate and a 12-speaker Bose system, so those should not all be treated as Touring-only upgrades. Honda Canada’s October 2024 equipment matrix.
The distinction matters when comparing used examples: a well-kept EX-L may provide the equipment you wanted before reaching the Touring price. Conversely, ventilation or the additional camera view may be features you value every day. Test their operation on the actual car, and quote replacement tires for the fitted wheel size.
Honda lists Touring cargo volume at 671 litres with the rear seat upright and 1,543 litres folded. Canadian cargo specifications. Check your stroller, bags or mobility equipment through the load opening as well; a volume figure cannot tell you whether a particular bulky item fits.
Infotainment and connectivity
An 11.3-inch touchscreen and 11-inch instrument display are listed across the Canadian range. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, alongside Google built-in. Canadian display and connectivity specifications.
Pair your phone and try the navigation and audio functions you normally use. Check which Google and connected-service functions need data or a paid plan, and confirm that account access transfers correctly on a used purchase. The presence of built-in apps should not be confused with every connected service being permanently free.
Safety and towing
The Canadian matrix includes adaptive cruise and other Honda Sensing assistance, with the surround-view system specific to Touring. These remain aids to an attentive driver. Honda’s 1,500-lb maximum towing figure requires the accessory towing package; do not assume that every vehicle has it installed. Canadian safety equipment and towing footnote.

The following Canadian base MSRPs come from Honda’s January 31, 2024 announcement, checked October 29, 2026. All trims are AWD. They exclude $2,000 freight/PDI, tax, licensing, registration, premium paint and accessories; these are historical references, not current offers or rebate-adjusted prices.
| 2024 Canadian trim | Base MSRP | Difference from Touring | What to compare |
|---|---|---|---|
| EX AWD | $59,990 | −$10,000 | Core EV equipment; 19-inch wheels |
| EX-L AWD | $64,990 | −$5,000 | Leather, moonroof, Bose and hands-free tailgate |
| Touring AWD | $69,990 | Reference | Ventilated front seats, HUD, surround view and 21-inch wheels |

Is Touring the right choice?
Choose Touring because you want its specific features, not because it must be the longest-range or most powerful Prologue. Compare itemized quotes for the same model year, inspect condition and confirm the equipment. For a used vehicle, the difference in actual asking prices may bear little resemblance to the original trim premium.
