The 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel takes the standard-output Hurricane engine in an off-road-focused direction. Its more useful distinction from Sport is the equipment underneath, not extra horsepower. For Canadian buyers, that makes the choice a question of terrain, options and everyday practicality rather than simply choosing the more aggressive-looking truck.

The Canadian feature matrix identifies Rebel as a Crew Cab 4×4 with a 5-foot-7-inch box. The longer 6-foot-4-inch box and Quad Cab are not listed for Rebel. Sport and Laramie are useful comparisons if your priorities lean toward appearance or cabin equipment instead. Canadian configuration matrix.
Engine and transmission
The standard-output, twin-turbo 3.0-litre Hurricane inline-six produces 420 hp and 469 lb-ft, paired with an eight-speed automatic. The manufacturer lists premium 91-octane fuel as recommended for this engine, rather than the premium-required wording used for the high-output engine. 2025 Canadian engine specifications.
Do not substitute specifications from the high-output Hurricane or a different model year’s HEMI. The distinction matters when comparing engines, fuel guidance and purchase prices.
Off-road equipment
Rebel’s Canadian matrix lists a standard 3.92 axle and electronic-locking rear differential. Its off-road equipment includes skid protection, off-road-calibrated shocks, hill-descent control and all-terrain tires. Four-corner air suspension is optional, not a feature to assume on every Rebel. Canadian mechanical equipment.
Towing and payload
The integrated trailer brake controller is optional or package-dependent in the Canadian matrix. Verify installation and the exact truck’s towing documentation before choosing a trailer. Trailer equipment availability.
A model-range maximum is not automatically this Rebel’s rating. Use the payload label and account for occupants, tools, accessories and tongue weight together. More off-road equipment does not by itself establish more towing or payload capacity.
Fuel economy
NRCan’s 2025 standard-output Ram 1500 4×4 entry is rated at 14.0 L/100 km city, 9.8 highway and 12.1 combined. It is a configuration reference, not a Rebel-specific road-test result. The high-output and RHO entries are different and should not be substituted. NRCan 2025 ratings.
At 20,000 km, that combined rating corresponds to about 2,420 litres. Use your expected annual distance and fuel price to estimate cost; winter use, towing and driving conditions can change the real result.
Interior and technology
The Canadian equipment guide lists a 12-inch Uconnect 5 navigation display, heated seats and steering wheel, remote start and rear storage among Rebel’s standard content. Level 2 adds the 14.5-inch screen, passenger display, upgraded Harman Kardon audio, dual wireless charging and heated rear seats. Leather buckets and the sunroof are options to check. Canadian Rebel equipment guide, page 20.
Safety and driver assistance
The Canadian matrix lists adaptive cruise, active lane management, forward-collision mitigation and parking assistance equipment. Surround-view cameras and a head-up display are package-dependent rather than universal Rebel features. Driver-assistance availability.
Canadian trim comparison
Current Canadian manufacturer pricing for these exact 2025 configurations has not been verified as of October 31, 2026. Vehicle prices and price differences are therefore omitted; the chart compares equipment only.
| 2025 trim | What changes |
|---|---|
| Sport | Body-colour styling; same standard-output engine. The Rebel’s standard locking axle and 3.92 ratio are optional here. |
| Rebel | Off-road equipment and standard electronic-locking rear differential. |
| Laramie | Leather-bench catalogue configuration, reclining rear bench, rear power-sliding window and LED bed lighting; same standard-output engine. Larger screens and heated rear seats require Level 2. |
Check Ram Canada’s official model and shopping page for manufacturer pricing. Match the exact model year, cab, box, drivetrain and equipment; a later-year Ram price is not a current price for the 2025 Rebel.
Compare a Level 2-equipped Rebel with the actual Sport or Laramie package you would buy. The trim-price difference alone does not tell you which has the desired seats, cameras or audio. Request a matching itemized quotation before deciding.
The Canadian equipment guide, page 24, separates Laramie’s standard reclining rear bench and bed lighting from Level 2’s 14.5-inch radio, passenger display and heated rear seats. That distinction matters more than assuming every higher trim includes every screen upgrade.
