2025 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier

The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier puts comfort equipment ahead of the Z71’s off-road appearance. It brings the refreshed Tahoe cabin into a higher equipment level, but the Premier badge does not settle which engine, towing package or optional technology a particular vehicle has.

Models available

The 2025 Tahoe range includes LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier and High Country. Premier is a comfort-focused alternative to the appearance-led RST and off-road-oriented Z71. High Country adds another equipment and engine choice above it; it is not simply a Premier with different badging. Canadian Tahoe trim overview.

Engine and transmission

Chevrolet lists the 5.3-litre V8 as standard on Premier, with the 6.2-litre V8 available. The 5.3 is rated at 355 hp and 383 lb-ft, paired with a 10-speed automatic. The larger V8 produces 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. The updated 3.0-litre Duramax diesel is another model-year option, rated at 305 hp and 495 lb-ft; availability followed the initial 2025 launch. Treat those as different configurations, not interchangeable ratings. Confirm the engine code and fuel requirements of the actual vehicle before calculating running costs or choosing a trailer.

Suspension and towing

The Canadian Premier guide lists Magnetic Ride Control. It is not a reason to assume the vehicle also has air suspension: those are separate systems and package decisions. Try the fitted wheel and suspension combination on the roads you regularly drive before deciding what feels best. Premier chassis equipment.

Max Trailering and Advanced Trailering appear as optional packages in the Canadian catalog. A hitch receiver alone does not prove they are installed or establish a towing limit. Verify the VIN-specific equipment, trailer rating and door-label payload, including the weight of passengers, luggage and trailer tongue load. Canadian package listing.

Fuel economy

NRCan’s Canadian 2025 four-wheel-drive ratings differ by engine. Use the row matching the actual Tahoe rather than assigning the lowest figure to every Premier. These are standardized model ratings, not consumption measured in the video.

Source: NRCan 2025 data. At 20,000 km, the 5.3-litre combined rating represents about 2,880 litres. Compare fuel prices and purchase costs as well as litres consumed; gasoline and diesel are not necessarily priced alike.

Interior and practicality

Premier’s Canadian trim guide highlights heated and ventilated front seating, heated second-row bucket seats and a power-folding third row. Check the actual seating layout and controls during your inspection, particularly if a second-row bench is important to your family. Premier interior equipment.

The most useful cargo test is with the seats positioned as you will use them. Bring the stroller, sports bags or luggage you normally carry and try third-row access with any child seats installed. If rear storage is the limiting factor, compare a Suburban separately rather than assuming a higher Tahoe trim solves it.

Infotainment and connectivity

The 2025 Canadian equipment catalog lists a 17.7-inch centre display with Google built-in and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some connected functionality requires a service plan; test your own phone and the features you rely on before purchase. Canadian infotainment specification.

Safety and driver assistance

Super Cruise is available on Premier, not something to assume from the trim name. Where fitted and active, hands-free assistance still requires compatible roads and an attentive driver. Check the vehicle’s equipment and service status rather than treating a sales photograph as proof. 2025 driver-assistance availability.

Pricing in CAD

Current Canadian manufacturer pricing for these exact 2025 configurations has not been verified as of October 31, 2026. Vehicle prices and price differences are therefore omitted; the chart compares equipment only.

Check Chevrolet Canada’s official Tahoe page for manufacturer pricing. Premier and High Country have different standard engines; match the exact model year, engine and options before comparing costs.

Competition and choosing a trim

Compare the cost of the Premier options you want with a High Country before deciding. If you do not need the bigger engine or extra displays, the higher trim is not automatically better value. An optioned LT is also worth inspecting if the goal is family practicality rather than the full Premier equipment list.
