2025 Cadillac Escalade-V

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V is the Escalade for buyers who want the supercharged V8 as well as the luxury equipment. It is not simply an appearance package on a Sport model: the powertrain is the main reason to choose it, and the price and fuel budget deserve just as much attention as the power figure.

Our 2025 Escalade-V video is below. This Canadian guide uses standard-length Escalade references, not ESV pricing or specifications from the electric IQ. The comparison below separates the V’s performance hardware from the regular Escalade’s luxury upgrades.

Models available

Cadillac’s 2025 lineup places V-Series alongside Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport and the two Platinum trims. Sport and Sport Platinum should not be mistaken for the V-Series performance model. The refreshed 2025 interior and exterior are shared themes across the range, while Cadillac identifies a carbon-fibre-focused interior treatment specifically for V-Series. Engine and transmission

Escalade-V uses a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 rated at 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque, rather than the non-V engine’s 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. The Canadian V catalog lists a 10-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Canadian engine specifications · V-Series drivetrain catalog.

Suspension, brakes and towing

The V catalog lists Magnetic Ride Control, Adaptive Air Ride and front six-piston Brembo performance brakes. Those are meaningful hardware distinctions, but their presence does not establish how the vehicle will ride on your roads or stop with your tires. Check the fitted wheel and tire specification and arrange a test drive before treating it as a comfort or handling upgrade for your use.

For towing, establish the individual vehicle’s rating from its build information and labels. Do not borrow the maximum number from a non-V Escalade simply because both are large V8 SUVs. Payload used by passengers, luggage and trailer tongue weight still matters. Canadian V equipment reference.

Fuel economy

Natural Resources Canada rates the 2025 Escalade-V AWD at 20.8 L/100 km city, 13.8 highway and 17.7 combined. The ordinary Escalade 4WD is listed at 15.0 combined, so its number should not be used to budget for the V. NRCan 2025 data.

Using the combined rating, 20,000 km represents about 3,540 litres annually. That is roughly 540 litres more than the same calculation at 15.0 L/100 km. Multiply by your expected fuel cost for a planning comparison, not a real-world guarantee. Winter idling, congestion and towing can change consumption substantially.

Interior and practicality

The 2025 Canadian announcement lists power-opening and closing exterior doors as standard on V-Series. That convenience is worth trying in the spaces where you park: check the controls, clearance and manual operation rather than assuming power assistance solves every tight-space problem. 2025 door-system availability.

The practical question remains how much room is available with passengers aboard. Test access to the third row and load your regular luggage with the seats raised. The standard-length vehicle and ESV should be compared separately; extra equipment does not create the cargo length of the extended body.

Infotainment and connectivity

The refreshed 2025 Escalade uses a curved front display arrangement measuring 55 inches in total diagonal and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. That measurement describes the combined display layout, not a single central touchscreen. Cadillac’s 2025 technology description.

Safety and driver assistance

Cadillac’s Canadian 2025 announcement lists Super Cruise capability with a three-year trial across the range and Night Vision as standard V-Series equipment. Check the original sticker for production deletions and confirm that the feature is present and functioning. Super Cruise still requires an attentive driver, compatible roads and an active trial or subscription. Canadian driver-assistance specifications.

Competition and choosing a trim

The clearest internal comparison is a Platinum model against the V. If the cabin equipment is your priority, the large price premium needs a reason beyond the badge. If the supercharged engine is central to the purchase, confirm that its running costs and everyday size still suit your household.

Frequently asked questions

Is Escalade Sport the same as Escalade-V?

Can I use the regular Escalade’s fuel-economy rating?

No. NRCan lists a separate Escalade-V AWD entry; use its 17.7 L/100 km combined rating for standardized comparisons.
