The 2025 Ford F-150 Tremor combines off-road dampers, an electronic-locking rear differential and 33-inch all-terrain tires in a SuperCrew pickup. It favours trail equipment over the cabin-focused appeal of Lariat, while retaining separate engine and option choices.
Our 2025 Tremor video is below, followed by Canadian powertrain, trail-equipment and trim comparisons.

Models available
Tremor sits alongside XLT and Lariat as a different approach to the F-150, rather than simply another level of luxury. The catalogue configuration compared here is a four-wheel-drive SuperCrew with the 5.5-foot box. Decide whether that passenger-space and box-length combination fits your use before comparing appearance packages.
Engine and transmission
Canadian Tremor catalogue information lists a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 and a 10-speed automatic, with a 5.0L V8 also offered. Check the individual truck’s build sheet to identify its engine. A Tremor badge alone should not be used to select a fuel-consumption figure or towing limit. Canadian Tremor specifications.
Off-road equipment
The Canadian catalogue identifies an electronic-locking rear differential, specific suspension arms and knuckles, and off-road dampers. Cam Clark Ford’s 2025 information also identifies 33-inch all-terrain tyres and increased ride height. These are meaningful reasons to consider Tremor rather than choosing it only for its exterior treatment. Chassis equipment; 2025 Tremor overview.
Towing and payload
Match the truck to the loaded trailer, passengers and cargo. Ask for the VIN-specific payload label and the correct towing configuration before committing. A family-wide advertised maximum is not the capacity of every Tremor, and adding equipment does not automatically increase the weight the truck can carry. Ford’s Canadian 2025 towing guide also requires a weight-distribution system when the loaded trailer exceeds 5,000 lb. That requirement does not increase the truck’s permitted towing or payload limits. Ford Canada’s 2025 F-150 towing guide.
Fuel consumption
| 2025 Tremor 4×4 engine | City | Highway | Combined |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3.5L V6 | 14.3 | 11.2 | 12.9 |
| 5.0L V8 | 15.2 | 11.9 | 13.7 |
Figures are L/100 km from Natural Resources Canada’s 2025 ratings. Winter conditions, towing and tyre changes can alter consumption. Use the Tremor row rather than a regular F-150 4×4 rating.
Off-road driving aids
Toronto Area Ford Dealers lists Trail Control, Trail 1-Pedal Drive and Trail Turn Assist among Tremor’s features. These systems assist particular low-speed manoeuvres; they do not replace choosing a safe route or learning the limits of the truck. 2025 Canadian model overview.
Canadian trim comparison and pricing
Trim equipment: Canadian 2025 F-150 overview. Tremor’s trail hardware and Lariat’s cabin upgrades serve different priorities; one is not simply a fully equipped version of the other.
Current Canadian manufacturer pricing for these exact 2025 configurations has not been verified as of October 31, 2026. Vehicle prices and price differences are therefore omitted; the chart compares equipment, not current purchase costs.
| 2025 configuration | What the choice prioritizes |
|---|---|
| XLT: 2WD SuperCab, 6.5-foot box, 2.7L | 12-inch touchscreen; 360-degree camera available. Different cab and drivetrain |
| Tremor: 4WD SuperCrew, 5.5-foot box, listed 3.5L | Locking rear differential, off-road dampers and 33-inch all-terrain tires |
| Lariat: 4WD SuperCrew, 5.5-foot box, listed 3.5L | Heated/ventilated ActiveX seats, B&O audio and 360-degree camera |
The XLT row uses a different cab and drivetrain. Match the cab, four-wheel drive, engine and required packages before comparing it with Tremor or Lariat. No current manufacturer price difference is verified here.
Start with Tremor if the off-road equipment is the reason you are shopping. If you mainly want a more comfortable cabin, compare a Lariat before adding luxury options to a Tremor. An XLT quote needs the same cab, four-wheel drive and required options before it becomes a useful budget alternative.
Competition and buying verdict
If off-road use is central to the purchase, put Tremor beside the Ram Rebel and Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss on your shopping list. Compare exact configurations and equipment rather than styling alone. Within Ford’s range, Tremor makes the most sense when you can explain which of its trail-focused features you will use.
Frequently asked questions
Is every Tremor the same?
No. Engine and optional equipment affect both the ownership experience and the final price. Use the build sheet, not the badge alone.
Does Tremor replace a Lariat?
They serve different priorities. Tremor centres the purchase on off-road equipment; Lariat is the alternative to examine for cabin comfort.
