The 2025 Kia Telluride X-Pro adds a specific set of useful changes to this three-row SUV: 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a cargo-area power outlet and a higher towing limit. It is not the only way to get a well-equipped Telluride. Most of its comfort features are already available lower in the Canadian range, and SX Limited actually keeps the Nappa leather that X-Line and X-Pro replace with regular leather.
This guide accompanies our 2025 X-Pro video. The specifications below come from Kia Canada’s model-year brochure; the video description does not establish a VIN, complete option list or exact as-tested price. Canadian trim names and equipment differ from U.S. versions.

The Canadian 2025 lineup consists of EX, SX, SX Limited, X-Line and X-Pro, all with AWD. EX and SX seat eight. SX Limited switches to second-row captain’s chairs and seven seats, a layout retained by X-Line and X-Pro. If an eighth passenger is part of your normal routine, the most expensive trim is not automatically the best fit.
SX adds a substantial comfort and technology package over EX. SX Limited then concentrates on seating materials, second-row comfort and additional displays. X-Line changes the stance and exterior treatment; X-Pro builds on that with a different wheel-and-tire specification and its towing advantage. Kia Canada’s 2025 brochure.
Engine and transmission
Every Canadian 2025 Telluride uses a 3.8-litre gasoline V6 with 291 hp at 6,000 rpm and 262 lb-ft at 5,200 rpm. An eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD are standard, and Kia specifies regular unleaded fuel. X-Pro does not bring a higher-output engine.
That makes the trim decision primarily about equipment, seating and towing rather than acceleration. The figures describe the manufacturer’s specification, not performance measured in our video. Drive/Terrain Mode Select is included, with Tow mode added at X-Line and carried into X-Pro.
Towing and load limits
Kia Canada rates X-Pro for up to 5,500 lb when properly equipped, compared with 5,000 lb for every other 2025 trim. The extra 500 lb is a 10% increase in the published maximum; it does not mean that any trailer under that number is suitable regardless of loading.
Trailer-lighting pre-wiring is listed in the standard equipment, while the brochure separately shows a complete trailer hitch kit as an accessory. Pre-wiring should not be mistaken for proof that a particular vehicle has the required hitch. Verify the installed equipment and follow the owner’s manual for towing, braking and weight limits. Passengers, cargo, accessories and tongue weight also consume the vehicle’s available payload.
Fuel economy
Kia’s Canadian 2025 brochure lists 13.1 L/100 km city, 10.0 highway and 11.7 combined. These are standardized figures rather than an observed result from our review. At 20,000 km annually, the combined figure represents about 2,340 litres of fuel. Multiply that by your expected regular-gasoline price to estimate a budget.
Short winter trips, idling, carrying a full cabin and towing can change actual consumption. The 71-litre tank specification should not be used to plan a trip that depends on running the tank empty; leave a reserve and account for the conditions.
Interior, seating and cargo
X-Pro retains heated and air-cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated and air-cooled second-row captain’s chairs. Driver-seat memory, powered front-seat adjustment, tri-zone climate control and second-row sunshades help explain why it is more than a wheel package.
There is an important material trade-off. SX Limited has Nappa leather and a deluxe cloth headliner, but X-Line replaces those with regular leather and the standard headliner. X-Pro follows that specification and adds its own seatback emblem. Paying more does not mean every cabin material is upgraded.
Kia quotes 601 litres behind the third row, 1,304 litres behind the second and 2,455 litres behind the first. These are different seating configurations, not interchangeable luggage capacities. Check your stroller, bags and child restraints with the rows you actually need occupied. The second row slides and folds for third-row access; the rear bench splits 60/40.
Infotainment and convenience
The 12.3-inch navigation touchscreen is already included on EX. SX adds the 12.3-inch digital instrument display and Harman Kardon audio, which carry through to X-Pro. A 10-inch head-up display and digital rearview mirror arrive with SX Limited, so neither requires buying X-Pro specifically.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, wireless phone charging and USB-C charging ports in all three rows are listed. Wireless charging is a separate feature from phone projection: do not assume wireless CarPlay or Android Auto from the presence of a charging pad. Check the connection method with your own phone before purchase.
X-Pro adds a 110-volt outlet in the cargo area to the cabin-area inverter already listed lower in the range. Check the outlet’s permitted load before plugging in equipment. Kia Connect also has service conditions; the brochure describes an initial three-year period from first registration, so a used vehicle may have less included time remaining.
Safety features
The Canadian equipment list includes blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, lane-following assistance and navigation-based cruise control with stop-and-go. Higher-trim equipment carried into X-Pro includes the blind-view camera display, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors and advanced highway driving assistance.
These systems support an attentive driver; they do not make the Telluride autonomous or remove the need to check mirrors, surroundings and trailer connections. Camera coverage and parking aids are useful distinctions when comparing EX with SX, not just X-Pro with X-Line.
Canadian trim comparison and pricing
The following CAD base MSRPs are listed in authorized Ontario retailer Leggat Kia’s 2025 model catalogue, checked October 28, 2026. They exclude freight/PDI, dealer fees, levies, paint and other options, tax, licensing and registration. They are model-year reference prices, not a verified February 2025 price sheet or a current transaction quote. Canadian 2025 price catalogue.
| 2025 Canadian trim | Base MSRP (CAD) | What the next step changes |
|---|---|---|
| EX AWD | $50,995 | Eight seats; synthetic upholstery, heated front seats/wheel, navigation touchscreen and core driver assistance. |
| SX AWD | $55,995 | +$5,000: leather, front-seat cooling, Harman Kardon audio, digital instruments, dual-panel sunroof and additional cameras/assistance. |
| SX Limited AWD | $59,995 | +$4,000: seven seats, Nappa leather, heated/cooled second row, head-up display, digital mirror and self-leveling rear suspension. |
| X-Line AWD | $62,095 | +$2,100: 213-mm ground-clearance specification, black 20-inch wheels and Tow mode. Regular leather replaces Nappa. |
| X-Pro AWD | $63,695 | +$1,600: black 18-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, cargo-area 110V outlet and 5,500-lb towing maximum when properly equipped. |
X-Pro is $3,700 above SX Limited and $1,600 above X-Line in this price grid. There is no higher Canadian 2025 trim above X-Pro. If the towing increase and all-terrain tires do not address a real need, SX Limited deserves a close look for its cabin materials and otherwise extensive equipment.
Which Telluride makes sense?
Choose the seating layout first. EX and SX are the eight-seat choices; SX makes a stronger case when you want the extra cameras, front-seat cooling and upgraded displays. For seven-seat comfort without the X-Line appearance changes, SX Limited is the natural comparison.
X-Pro makes the clearest equipment-based case when its 5,500-lb rating, all-terrain tires or cargo power outlet are useful to you. That is not a claim that we tested towing, off-road ability or ride quality. Before deciding, compare replacement-tire costs and confirm the actual hitch and loading labels.
For other three-row options, see our 2026 Chevrolet Traverse RS and 2026 Honda Pilot Black Edition articles. Those are different model years; compare their own specifications and prices rather than treating them as identical-year rivals.
