Today I review the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST. The most recent interior and technological improvements make the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 more competitive against its full-size rivals.
The 2019 makeover of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 wasn’t without its challenges. To make up for the early flaws, the Silverado has undergone countless improvements. Most of the updates to the Silverado 1500 were done in 2022. This included a much-enhanced interior, a larger touchscreen screen, a redesigned front end, a reworked engine selection, and a new ZR2 model with an emphasis on off-road capabilities.
An impressive-looking 13.4-inch horizontally oriented touchscreen that flows into the new fully digital and customizable instrument panel welcomes passengers on the LT trim level and higher. Other interior modifications include new seats, a revamped center console, and improved trim materials. The gear shifter went from being a column-mounted to a more car-like drive selector. Customers now find the new layout to be more user-friendly.
The Ford F-150 and Ram 1500 continue to be superior. Driving a full-size vehicle like the Silverado isn’t always enjoyable. But the Silverado may make you smile thanks to its dominating stance on the road, strong towing capacity, and obnoxious front-end appearance.
