2026 Ram 1500 Rebel: Specs, Features & Pricing

The 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel combines a Crew Cab and five-seat interior with Bilstein shocks, an electronic locking rear axle and all-terrain tires. Its standard Hurricane engine differs from the high-output unit in the RHO, while an optional HEMI V8 gives buyers another powertrain choice. Cabin upgrades and safety packages can also change the specification considerably.

This guide covers the Canadian Rebel’s engines, towing, payload, fuel economy, interior, infotainment, safety features and CAD pricing. The Ram 1500 Rebel is a separate truck from the heavy-duty Ram 2500 Rebel, so their capacities and equipment should not be interchanged.

Models and configuration

The Ram 1500 range includes Tradesman, Express, Black Express, Big Horn, Warlock, Sport, Rebel, Backcountry, Laramie, Limited, Longhorn, Tungsten and RHO models. Ram lists a dealer-special Black Express configuration separately as well. Engine, cab and box availability varies by model rather than following one identical configuration throughout the lineup.

Rebel places its emphasis on dedicated chassis equipment and appearance. The checked Canadian configuration uses four-wheel drive, a Crew Cab and a short box measuring approximately 1,712 mm long. Front bucket seats and a three-person rear bench provide five seats. A full centre console separates the front occupants.

2026 Ram 1500 Rebel engine specifications

The standard 3.0-litre Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six produces 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission and engine stop/start. The selected Rebel has a 3.92 rear axle ratio and a 3,220-kg, or 7,100-lb, gross vehicle weight rating. Ram recommends regular gasoline for this standard-output engine.

The optional 5.7-litre HEMI V8 with eTorque produces 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. It also uses an eight-speed automatic and includes cylinder-deactivation technology. The builder lists its Customer Preferred Package 27W at $2,500 before any changes to discounts or other required equipment.

The Rebel’s standard Hurricane should not be described using the 540-horsepower output of the RHO or Tungsten. Those models use the high-output engine. Likewise, the eTorque system on the HEMI does not make it the same powertrain as a full hybrid pickup.

Suspension, wheels and exterior equipment

Standard hardware includes front and rear performance-tuned Bilstein shock absorbers and an electronic locking rear axle. Ram’s comparison lists off-road suspension tuning and coil springs. The rear locker differs from an open differential or a mechanical limited-slip unit, so it deserves a separate line in a specification comparison.

The selected Rebel wears 18-inch Mid-Gloss Black aluminum wheels and LT275/70R18E all-terrain tires. A sport performance hood is part of the model’s key equipment. These are distinct from the larger wheels and all-season tires on several luxury Ram 1500 trims.

Four-corner Active-Level air suspension is optional at $1,895 in the checked builder. Therefore, do not assume every Rebel has air suspension. The standard comparison also lists approximately 249 mm of ground clearance, but actual height depends on suspension, tires, load and the measurement conditions.

Towing and payload

Ram’s model comparison lists 5,053 kg of towing capacity and 726 kg of payload for its base Rebel configuration. Those figures describe the listed truck rather than every possible Rebel. Engine choice, installed options, vehicle weight and trailer equipment can alter the applicable limits.

Before selecting a trailer, obtain the exact truck’s towing information and read its door-jamb payload label. Passengers, cargo, accessories and trailer tongue weight all use the available payload. Also confirm the receiver, brake-control equipment, axle ratings and combined-weight limit for the final combination.

The checked builder offers a $795 Towing Technology Group and a $1,495 Trailer Tow Group II. A $1,695 Bed Utility Group adds another equipment choice. Review each package’s contents and requirements rather than assuming the trim badge includes every trailer-assistance feature.

Fuel economy and tank capacity

The 2026 Canadian fuel rating for the Ram 1500 4×4 with the standard-output Hurricane is 13.2 L/100 km city, 9.9 L/100 km highway and 11.7 L/100 km combined. The 5.7-litre eTorque V8 4×4 rating is 14.7 city, 11.6 highway and 13.3 combined. Both ratings use regular gasoline.

Ram’s base Rebel comparison lists a 98.4-litre fuel tank. The builder offers a 124.9-litre tank at $595. However, a larger tank changes fuel capacity rather than the official consumption rating. Check the actual truck’s EnerGuide label and installed tank specification when comparing vehicles.

Towing, winter temperatures, cargo, tires and idling can affect fuel use. Consequently, the standardized ratings provide a useful comparison without establishing a guaranteed distance between fills.

Interior, seats and comfort

Standard cloth/vinyl front bucket seats include heating for both front occupants. The driver has eight-way power adjustment and two-way power lumbar support; the front passenger has four-way manual adjustment. The base comparison does not list front ventilation or heated rear seats.

Dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, manual tilt and telescoping column adjustment and a conventional auto-dimming rearview mirror appear in the comparison. It also lists a household-style interior power outlet and HomeLink. The rear seat folds in a 60/40 split, while Crew Cab rear legroom measures approximately 1,148 mm.

Optional leather-faced seat selections change the upholstery specification. Rebel Level 2 also adds an eight-way power passenger seat with two-way lumbar adjustment, driver memory and heated second-row seats. Other listed features include memory for mirrors and adjustable pedals, power-folding mirrors, proximity entry and rain-sensing wipers.

The optional Level 2 group costs $5,695 before any selection dependencies. It includes a power tailgate as well as additional cabin technology. Check the combined order carefully, because seat options and equipment groups can require one another and affect the final price.

Infotainment and technology

Centre infotainment touchscreen of the 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel

Standard infotainment uses Uconnect 5 NAV with a 12-inch centre touchscreen. The comparison lists a 10-speaker Alpine system, integrated navigation, Bluetooth and SiriusXM with 360L. Connected functions and satellite radio have activation or subscription terms that should form part of the ownership-cost comparison.

Rebel Level 2 upgrades the centre display to 14.4 inches and adds a front passenger interactive display, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system and dual wireless charging pads. It also lists Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB projection, hotspot capability and connected travel services. These upgrades are package equipment rather than universal Rebel features.

Separately, the $1,495 Technology Group includes a digital rearview mirror and a head-up display. This distinction matters when comparing a fully equipped review vehicle with a base truck. A conventional mirror and a camera-based mirror do not provide the same functions.

2026 Ram 1500 Rebel safety features

The model comparison lists Forward Collision Warning-Plus with active braking, Active Lane Management, blind-spot detection and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality. Front and rear ParkSense parking sensors also appear among the standard equipment. These features support the driver rather than replace attention or control.

The optional $2,395 Advanced Safety Group II adds Active Driving Assist, drowsy-driver detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection collision assistance, a surround-view camera system and traffic-sign recognition. The package calls its system Active Driving Assist; it should not automatically be described as the hands-free system offered in other configurations.

Protection equipment includes front airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags, curtain airbags for both rows, anti-lock brakes, traction control and stability control with rollover mitigation. Ram also lists LED headlamps, rear child safety locks and tire-specific low-pressure warnings. Camera and assistance systems have operating limits that owners should review in the manual.

CAD pricing and options

In the Ontario configuration a Bright White Rebel with the standard Hurricane and no paid options has a base price of $81,490 CAD. The builder applies $8,250 Consumer Cash, producing a displayed $73,240 CAD estimate before sales tax. Offers and dealer prices can change.

Ram’s stated builder pricing includes freight, federal air-conditioning charges and applicable levies or luxury-tax surcharges. Sales tax, registration, insurance and other excluded charges remain separate. Request an itemized quotation for the actual truck, especially when adding the HEMI, air suspension, larger fuel tank or several equipment groups.

Additional listed choices include Rebel Level 1 at $1,595, the G/T Package at $3,395 and Rebel X at $4,595. These are package prices rather than complete configured totals. Their availability, required selections and effects on other equipment should be checked in the final build.

Competition and buying priorities

The Chevrolet Silverado LT Trail Boss and GMC Sierra AT4 are useful alternatives for buyers comparing full-size pickups with dedicated suspension and tire equipment. Ford F-150 Tremor is another comparison. Their engine choices, axle equipment, cabin upgrades and trailering configurations differ, so compare a complete specification rather than trim names alone.

Within Ram’s range, Warlock and Backcountry offer other equipment combinations, while RHO has a different engine and more specialized chassis hardware. A Rebel buyer should weigh its five-seat layout, standard Hurricane and available HEMI against the actual towing requirement and desired cabin features. The clearest comparison starts with the final truck’s build sheet and total price.
